Recently I have discovered just how cute and chic Laura Ashley’s clothing and home furnishings are so imagine my excitement when I realised there is a 15% discount on selected fashion items.

I am a huge floral fan and Laura Ashley’s signature style is floral patterned delights but a different styled dress has caught my eye. Ideal for cocktail parties and weddings, this little number will certainly melt a crowd.

This adorably elegant blue satin seamed dress. The dress is a silk blend fabric which is nipped in just the right places. Now I know summer is over but aren’t we allowed to be a little nostalgic? The dress is available on the Laura Ashley website and costs just £68.00. Perfect!

I’ve just been searching through the Wallis-Fashion website and came across this dress, which really caught my eye. I would wear this to a fancy dinner party or even a day at the races. I know ladies day at Ascot has been and gone but you can never be prepared too early. It is described as a black/ivory flower prom dress, available on the Wallis website and costs £50.

With its bold detail and flattering flower belt, it would suit just about anyone. You could wear this with a pair of black strappy sandals, for a more elegant look and a sparkly set of earrings and matching bracelet, just to finish it off. On the website there is an accessories option available so your bound to find something to match. If you’re a costume jewellery girl like me then maybe Claire’s Accessories would be a better option.

As I’m sure most of you are aware, this week is Royal Ascot Week – a chance to dress to impress, sip champagne and maybe even do a spot of gambling! I am attending the races on Friday but still haven’t found an outfit so I am shopping while I blog! My personal favourites are the two stunning dresses above. I would love to wear the cream dress with gold satin band (£70) but me and white don’t really go especially if it’s raining. The pink mesh bustier dress (£55) is more my style, it’s just as stunning and gives the bust area a bit of a lift. The colour is also more appropriate if it rains.
