The Angelic Juicy Top

Friday, February 8th, 2008

Juicy Couture Angel silk chiffon topFinding that gorgeous going out top is an ongoing challenge when I’m out shopping, I haven’t bought a top that I fell in love with the moment I saw it since early last year, but Juicy Couture has come through and I am in love!

This Juicy Couture Angel silk chiffon top is adorable and flattering and would look gorgeous with some skinny or boot leg jeans, maybe even some shorts. It looks lovely from the front but the back is just as good. Rather than the usual plain backed tops were so use to seeing, this one has tiered ruffles. So chic!

Get yours at Net A Porter costing £186, so worth it for perfection like this.

The Clothes Show Live: Crazy Colours

Monday, December 17th, 2007

Heres what you can expect to be wearing during the warmer months of 2008 – exciting hey!! I love the mixture of crazy colours and the daring patterns of spots and stripes, it looks like the bolder the better, see what you can get away with. Mix greens with yellows and oranges, blues with reds and yellow, anything goes!

Crazy Catwalk Colours

It looks like socks will be a big part of the outfit too, I personally love the stripy knee-highs but am not to keen on the colorful ankle socks, what do you think? All I can say is I’m looking forward to summer. More pics…

Glam Chick Style

Monday, November 12th, 2007

I have just been browsing River Island’s website and had to show you this screen shot from their ‘Get the Look’ section. They have called it Glam Chick and this is so the look I have been waiting for! The gorgeous leopard print faux jacket (£64.99) is stunning and goes really well with dark skinny jeans (£36.99) as shown in the image.

River Island Glam Chick

Also loving the patent peep toes (£54.99), such a great style for the season and this pair has that little bit extra with gold studs at the front.

Check out River Island for more great styles of the season or to purchase some of the items from this look.

All Saints Top

Friday, October 5th, 2007

All Saints TopWe are now saying goodbye to black and hello to bright, block colouring. The best way to do bright this season is sticking to strong colours - pale tones are a no-go. This jungle top is perfect. In lime green, it’s simple and flattering - this is a no pattern, no ruffles zone, so stick to one tone.

This is a great block colour to go for if you don’t want to draw too much attention to your upper half, but make sure you wear the brightest colour on the part of your body that you do want attention drawn to. You must be careful not to over do it though, try and stick to just two different colours at any one time.

Available from All Saints for £45.

Boys Shirts For Girls!

Friday, October 5th, 2007

Burton ShirtNow shirts aren’t just for your dads and boyfriends, they are the new a-listers body loving best friend. There are many different types of shirts and they work best on slim girls who can pull off a more roomy shape.

Curvy girls should wear a belt around the middle to avoid the tent look. This one is from Burton for £18, yes that’s right, you can’t go wrong with borrowing one from your mans wardrobe. It’s best to go for a nice white and crisp style, so go and have a rummage through your dads or boyfriends wardrobe and see what you can find!

The Miss Selfridge Gothic Angels Collection

Monday, October 1st, 2007

Gothic Lace Tie ShirtOver the last couple of years, I think Miss Selfridge has really come along way from the days I remember it to be quite a young teen clothing store. Each time I walk passed I’m seduced into the store by some sort of cute lacy number or a sleek satin smart garment.

Rinse Paris Skinny JeansAfter browsing the company’s web page I found that the new Gothic Angels collection is gorgeous and a must buy for this season. I love the Gothic Lace Tie Back Shirt in wine, priced at a very reasonable £40 and this would go perfectly with the Rinse Paris Skinny Jeans in dark wash denim, priced at £35. This outfit can be smartened up with some pointed black courts, possibly patent? Finally finish the outfit with a small black clutch purse.

Must Have Roll Necks!

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

H&M Roll NeckOk your probably thinking, how boring a plain roll neck top, but mark my words this ‘boring’ roll neck will be your best investment this winter! It is such an essential garment this season especially with the strong focus on layering; you won’t know what to do without one!

The beauty of these tops is that you can still wear pretty dresses during the day without freezing or looking too dressy, just wear one of these great little roll neck tops underneath your dress and it instantly tones it down, genius! I am definitely going to be stocking up on plenty of these tops from H&M this winter, for just £10, I think I’ll get one in every colour! However if your not sure I would definitely recommend the grey colour as it is very in this season and suits pretty much everyone! Oh and if you like the sweater too, its £14.99! Bargain!

Grey is the Way

Friday, September 28th, 2007

Miss Selfridge Grey CardiThis gorgeous grey cardigan is no longer considered part of the “back to school” look. Grey is not associated with being dull or boring, it is now worn to add style and sophistication to your image. Graphite and slate shades of grey are all over the high street and what better way to wear them than knitwear.

Don’t go for a too chunky knit though, as you may just end up making yourself look older. This pointelle sleeve detail cardi has a deep V neckline and has a button detail at the bottom. It has fitted sleeves to give a bit of puff at the shoulders and is fitted at the waistline to emphasize a curvy figure. Available from Miss Selfridge for just £35.

Pussy Bows!

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

Pussy Bow ShirtPussy bows are soooo in this season! They’re everywhere and I think they look great! If you’re after a sexy 40’s siren look, you definitely need to adopt this hot new trend. These pussy bows look great around the neck of blouses or dresses particularly in delicate silks for a smart yet trendy look.

I’ve been hunting for a sexy blouse to really show off this trend and I think I’ve found a winner! French connection have really gone to town with the pussy bow trend and have a great range of dresses and blouses to choose from, however I’m in love with this plum satin blouse for £70! Not only have they got the style right, this rich purple colour is so in right now!
