My wish list is as always unending, but I always find it useful to create a list of 10 main items, to give me focus whilst shopping. This also helps to build a wardrobe set for several key looks rather than just a closet full of a gazillion different unmatched items, where nothing quite goes.

One of the looks I will embrace next season is lux grunge; inspired by Marc Jacobs S/S 93 collection it’s all about rich fabrics, layering and a bit of sparkle in the form of rich jewel colours. One of my top items therefore, had to be a beanie, to me nothing quite says ‘grunge’ like one of these and if kept buttery soft and cream in colour it will add to the lux appeal. Lavin’s ballet pumps deliver the necessary component of rich jewels and this Marc by Marc Jacobs Groovee shoulder bag is bang on trend and will bring a little glamour to any outfit.

I wasn’t so sure at first about the 70’s high waist wide leg jeans and cheque shirt ensemble, but having seen so many celebs rocking the look of late, who can really exist indulging in the chequered shirt craze? I found these Topshop jeans were a great fit and I fell for the country top from French Connection - just team with an oversized clutch and platform shoes boots, such as the beautiful Marni peep toes on my list.

Chunks of crystal and strands of silver chains tied up with grosgrain ribbon graced the catwalks too, and I loved this look but was after something a little less bling and Mango have come up with the goods with this necklace chain for £40.

I love this dress by All Saints and was rather excited to see Miss Selfridge offering a range of feathered gilets, any outfit next season will look great by just adding lots of layering and then cinching it all in with a belt. (Like this buckle detail wrap belt by ASOS – gorgeous).
