Sophistication Seaside!

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Chloe Bandeau SwimsuitApparently the one piece swimsuit is making a huge comeback this summer and who better to show us how it’s done than Chloe! Chloe have proved that sophistication can be displayed sea side with this stylish bandeau swimsuit.

A simple design with key hole back and bow is extremely chic and would make you the envy of the beach! Perfectly practical this bandeau swimsuit makes a great boob tube top when worn with some cute little shorts or a skirt! So why not ditch the bikini for a day or two for extreme sophistication with this fantastic Chloe all-in-one! Warning: this swimsuit is best suited to a smaller bust as it isn’t very supportive!

Buy your Chloe Bandeau swimsuit today from net a porter for £325!

The Plunging All In One

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

milly-acapulco-printed-maillot.jpgI personally am a bikini girl! I love the look of the all in one swimsuit but the thought of my entire body clinched by something so skin tight repels me, so I’ve never been daring enough to buy one.

However, I am slowly coming around to the idea because of all the amazing shapes, patterns and sizes a swimsuit can come in. I love Milly Acapulco printed maillot. The navy and white splash print swimsuit is backless with a plunging neck line which is super-sexy, imagine it with a tan. With bead embellishment and a self tie halter neck the maillot can be comfortable and cute.

Get yours at Net-A-Porter costing £150, coordinating items are also available.

Bikini’s Galore!

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Seersucker BikiniWith the spring collections finally entering our shops we can expect to see lots of luscious bikinis reminding us all to book a hot summers holiday this year, as lets face it, we definitely can’t rely on British summers to give us some sun!

If you’re one of the lucky few and already have your holiday booked you can get first pick of the gorgeous swimwear available and believe me there is just so much choice!

Here is one bikini that stopped me in my tracks; the ‘Seersucker’ bikini from Topshop! A true reflection of the sailor trend, this bikini would look ‘hip and hot’ by the pool or on the beach. I personally love the frill detail around the top, it’s so cute and can be yours for a reasonable £24.00!

The Clothes Show Live: Saucy Swimsuits

Monday, December 17th, 2007

If you’re jetting off somewhere nice and warm over Christmas then a cut-out swimsuit is the way to go. These catwalk beauties show us how to pull off the cut-out style and prove that accessories such as bags and shades make the style rock.

Swimsuits

I have been hunting around the net for some similar styles to buy on line and I have found some great ideas, the first is a Melissa Odabash Jessica bandeau swimsuit from Net-a-porter, it will set you back £135 but is stunning especially with the stud detail and backless design. The second is from Figleaves and I think you will agree is almost identical (if not the same item) as the far left swimsuit in the Clothes Show Pictures. It costs £70 and is available on the website. The last swimsuit is also from Figleaves and is my personal favourite - £93 and its yours!

Fabulous Frills

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

Anna and Boy BikiniI know it’s a bit too early to start talking about bikinis, but like I always say a girl can never be too prepared! You never know you might be whisked off to an exotic Caribbean Island for a new year’s beach party! Ok realistically you probably won’t but you can still keep it in your drawer ready for that summer break we all look forward to in roughly 7 months!

This sexy bandeau bikini is absolutely gorgeous! The floral stencilled frill is what really grabbed my attention; it is just so pretty and feminine! I’ve always loved bandeau bikinis, however be careful if you have a large bust as they don’t give you much support.

The bikini is by Anna & Boy and thanks to Browns fashion can be purchased online for £100!

Gold Shimmer Bikini

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

Gold Shimmer BikiniGoing on your holidays? Looking for a bikini that will stand out from the rest? With its subtle gold shimmer and a nice bronze tan you’re going to look lush. I’m always trying to find a bikini that will not only look nice but one that I can wear with a sarong and flip flops or even under a summer dress, and today I’ve found it. The top and bottoms are sold separately so you can even mix and match if you prefer.

Available from Dorothy Perkins from sizes 6 to 22 and at £8 for the top and £8 for the bottoms it really is a good buy. I always find that whenever I’m out doing a bit of retail therapy I never really know what I’m looking to buy but today I will, this little number is a must have for my holiday essentials, along with my gold flip flops I really will be shimmering in the sunshine.

Summer Cutaway Swimsuits

Monday, July 9th, 2007

Cutaway SwimsuitsThis year the cutaway swimsuit has been a big hit, it’s just a shame the weather in England hasn’t allowed us to show them off! Here are three of my favourite high street designs, all great colours for the warmer weather and certain to get you noticed. The cut out detail helps give a really flattering shape and slims down your tum in an instant.

The first swimsuit is from La Senza, it costs £25 and is great if you like white swimwear to show off your tan. The next is from TOPSHOP and costs £26. I absolutely adore this colour – it’s so summery and bright and will compliment olive skin tones. The last swimsuit is £29.50 from Marks & Spencer, the garment is made from brown and green floral material and the halter neck will help hold in bustier ladies!

Abstract Print Bikini

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

Abstract Print BikiniIs it me or did summer seem to come in May and then disappear again? I feel it’s rather unfair that my poor bikini’s have only seen the sun for a couple of days this year, I am praying for some more sunbathing weather over the next few months.

If you haven’t already bought a bikini this year there’s lots of choice around at the moment, I have just found this abstract print bikini at River Island while I was searching for an ascot dress!

It costs £24.99 and is so colourful it almost looks like Joseph’s dream coat! It is designed beautifully and is on the top of my wish list this summer.

Celebrity Swim Suits

Monday, May 21st, 2007

Celebrity SwimwearSummer is quickly approaching so we need to do some serious bikini shopping. I am never sure which style to go for so here are some celebrity swim suits to help us get an idea of what’s hot this season.

My personal favourite is Kristin Cavallari’s bikini, it is a simple design but the colour accentuates her olive skin. Jessica Biel’s is very similar but doesn’t compliment her skin tone quite as much.

There are some great buys at ASOS.com – a large selection and all are very reasonably priced.

Next Summer Collection
Next has some absolutely beautiful clothes ready for the summer, I can just imagine strolling across the beach in the sunshine in the wide legged jeans, bikini top, gold straw hat and dainty flat sandals. This outfit screams style and is definitely going to get you some holiday male attention!

All three of these outfits put together by Next are fabulous, I really love the Khaki Paisley Print Green Dress, especially with the white top underneath – it brightens up the whole ensemble. All items are very reasonable prices as well, the wide legged jeans £40, the white bikini top £17 and the Khaki dress £37. Check out the Next Website for all the prices and more summer styles.
