Zanotti Retro HeelsGiuseppe Zanotti has wowed us again with these statement heels! Footwear has always been in Zanotti’s blood having been born in San Mauro Pascoli, Italy. A town that is renowned for its shoe making! Well Zanotti has certainly made his hometown proud with his consistent eye grabbing designs that attract the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Kylie!

There are also multicoloured diamantes on the bottom of the heel for a real retro feel! The Sculpted Heel Back For Autumn/Winter

Friday, August 29th, 2008

miu-miu-sculpted-heel.jpgA girl can never have too many pairs of shoes; it goes without saying so why not invest in this season’s sculpted heel …

Miu Miu the heaven sent designer has created a gorgeous pair of sculpted heel pumps which are both unique and stylish simultaneously. The merlot leather pointed toe pumps are gorgeous and I might add the perfect color for the season. Match with a lovely black or gray dress, put on a pair of tights and purchase the Miu Miu patch work clutch and you are good to go. If the patch work clutch is too pricey head to the high street as the color is sure to be popping up everywhere so you’re bound to find one that matches.

The Miu Miu Sculpted Heel Pumps are available at net-a-porter online priced at £315.

Designer V Highstreet: Two Tone Ballerina

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Blotch BallerinaI was having a float around Brown’s online store earlier and came across these two tone ballerinas and was sure I had seen them elsewhere.. and I had – Oasis have a similar pair on sale for less than half the price!

I love this style of pump – wit the smart black and white look they are perfect for the office if you want to escape heels for a day and quirky enough for casual wear too. Both are made from soft leather and I would find it hard to choose the better pair. On one hand the pair from Browns by Bloch are cuter with their gathered ruche elastic, white edging and stitch detailing, however, Oasis have a more structured feel and would suit many more outfits.

Either way, monochrome will feature big next season, and at £95 for the Bloch pair and £35 for Oasis’s offering, they are both a hit in my book!

Wear with low slung harem cropped trousers and a tucked in tee with a skinny tight fitting cropped cardy on top for minimalist chic appeal.

Love Louboutin

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

christian-louboutin-sandals.jpgYou probably chant the same thing over in your head when you see a new pair of Louboutin shoes available but with an I before love.

Well for good reason, these Christian Louboutin Very Croise sandals are just another pair to add to my wish list. As seen on so many celebrities this style of shoe perfects long and to die for legs as well as rounding off the perfect dress. Think LC from The Hills in one of her Betsey Johnson strapless dresses. The black satin strappy sandals have a 6 inch high heel and a 1.5 inch platform which provides extra height and comfort. The signature red sole looks more appealing than ever on every new design.

Get yours at net-a-porter for £370 now.

Triumph In Tartan

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

topshop-tartan-check-shorts.jpgHunting down the perfect pair of shorts is so stressful; to find the right fit you need to try them on.

I have been on an endless mission trying to find a pair as something that emphasizes my waist rather than my hips works for me. Topshop had some fantastic high waisted denim shorts in at the beginning of summer – an investment I made immediately and wrote about. Now Topshop have another great pair and this time working with the season’s fabulous trend of tartan. Flattering and cool, dress these high waisted tartan shorts with a short sleeve blouse or relatively plain top and some high stilettos and your good to go.

The Topshop Tartan Shorts are available at Topshop online for just £28.

Designer V Highstreet: The T Bar Peep Toe!

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

Cream Suede Louboutin’sI was just browsing the ultimate fashion website; Style.com when I came across these beautiful Louboutin’s peep toe shoes! Cream suede is very risky for a pair of shoes especially with the price tag of Louboutin’s but I have to make the exception for this pair! The bold T bar shape is so flattering on the leg and is a fab move on from the gladiator sandal that has been ruling the high street!

If you also love this shoe but haven’t quite got the purse for a pair of Louboutin’s check out the next best thing from Faith. These beauties have obviously been inspired by Mr Louboutin, the T bar style is very similar, the only main difference is the colour; they come in grey or black, which ties in with the colour palette for autumn. They have also been reduced from £70 to £50, what are you waiting for!

Folklore

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

Marc Jacobs Butterly Shoe Boots One of next season’s strong looks has been named as folklore or ‘faerie queene’ as Harper’s Bizaar so sweetly describes it. Think Boho but with muted tones, nature inspired patterns and lots of layering.

The key elements to creating this look are to start with a short and flirty patterned chiffon dress with some sort of waistcoat, gillet or jacket thrown over the top. Then pull together literally with a skinny belt on top to keep the layers in order and give what could become quite bulky, a sense of structure and sophistication. Add to this an oversized beanie, some opaques and a pair of shoe boots and you’re good to go.

Purple will play a big part next season too and what item could better top this outfit off than these Marc Jacobs Butterfly shoe boots which you can purchase at Net-a-porter for £560.

Encapsulating a key season colour as well as a strong nature theme with the butterfly cut-outs, these boots are sure to be a great hit and will pull together any folk inspired look.

Peep-toe Boots

Marini Peep-toe leather bootsPeep-toe boots were just beginning to appear towards the end A/W 07 and I am delighted to see they will be taking a prominent place in the fashion stakes this year too. Stylish, with a hint of naughtiness, peep-toe boots are a fun addition to your personal collection and Marni have a few stunners in theirs.

These Marni Peep-toe ankle boots from Net-a-porter are £425 and fabulous; featuring next season’s muted colour palette with wooden detailing, these boots are a hit for me. In addition to these taupe colour boots, Marni also have some gorgeous black ink colour ones, as well as a seriously stunning chocolate knee-high pair.

Great for toughening up any look a these peep-toe leather boots are an essential piece of any trend-savvy A/W wardrobe.

Lush Leather Jewels

Gladiator SandalsI have just bought these gorgeous brown leather flat sandals from ASOS and they look even better on than they do in the picture. They are so confortable that I found it difficult to take them off when I got home!

I also bought this black casual dress to go with them and they look great together. The sandals are £35, not the cheapest on the market but remember… you buy cheap, you buy twice, hopefully these beauties will last a lifetime!

This style of shoe is really hot right now and perfect if you’re jetting off for a summer holiday anytime soon. They have taken over my top shoe spot in the wardrobe and I think they’ll be staying there for a while!
