Prom season is arriving and that beautiful dress should be at the top of your shopping list. Why? Because every girl wants to shine at their prom. The average prom would be held to celebrate the end of school or college however its not just the prom attendees who are in need of the perfect dress. Balls, galas, dinners and parties are always popping up in the social diary.
On my recent search I came across a beauty by Betty Jackson. This dusky pink strapless taffeta dress with rosette detailing could not be more appropriate and in season. Strapless dresses are everywhere right now and are so flattering. The shaply dress provides curves in the right places and the colour would look fantastic on the english rose or the sunkissed sweetheart.
The Betty Jackson strapless taffetta dress is available at My Warbrobe online, priced at £343.

Prom season is coming up and in true support many of the high street stores are prepared with some gorgeous dresses suited for all. I know not everyone has a prom but any sort of glamorous occasion will be the perfect place to show off a prom dress.
Warehouse has a lovely selection. I love this Lace Embellished light brown prom dress. At £90 it’s pricey, but what you would expect when buying a dress that will make you dazzle and last forever. The strapless and full skirt style dress is flattering and stylish and will look perfect with some elegant little sandals and matching purse. Co-ordinating colours are a must!
Get yours at Warehouse online.

Look jaw droopingly hot this season and turn heads in that dress you thought you would never find.
It’s always a challenge when you shop for something you want as it’s rarely there, but, Maison Martin Margiela has the answer if what you’re looking for is something super sexy. This black sleeveless jersey dress is just the ticket. The dress plunges at both the back and front with tie detailing which leaves options for either a vest underneath or shimmering skin. Falling just above the knee it makes a chic night out. Tip: Use Benefit Kitty Glitter over your skin for all over sparkling effect and accessorize with a cute black clutch and killer heels.
Get this Maison Martin Margiela Plunge front dress at Net-A-Porter, costing £494.

Its no surprise that Coast have some of the most fabulous evening dresses available so why not invest in one this year for those Christmas balls or New Years Eve celebrations.
There are some gorgeous garments; this dress caught my eye in particular. The Klimt Tulle dress, is stunning, flattering and one of those dresses that come with praise and envy, think about the ‘oh wow, I love your dress’ comments you’ll be thrown. The dress is £175 and so worth every penny.
Or perhaps you would prefer something a little simpler but just as elegant like the Pageant Duchess Satin dress, also flattering and costing a slightly smaller £135.

The designer label Gina has always produced the most delicate, glitzy and glamorous sandals and this fall is no exception. The sky high collection is very in season and it appears that over time heels are getting higher and higher.

I love Spice (above), the Swarovski indented ‘jet’ diamante and black patent sandals. They are stunning and are priced at £415.00 or take Rox, the gold, Swarovski ‘golden’ diamante encrusted, signature style sandals priced at £435.00 (below).

Or perhaps you would prefer these Campari shoes below, another signature style sandal, with “hand woven” Swarovski ‘Crystal’ diamantes in silver priced at £425.00.

In my opinion a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes, and after finding these I definitely want another pair. They are so pretty and girly. The pink and red detail is almost strawberry like. I’ve found peep toe shoes to be a favourite of mine at the moment, not only do they look great but they are so comfortable as well.
They have a flower across the front with sparkly diamantés and a wooden effect heel. A real girly girl pair of shoes. Available in sizes 3-8, so no need to worry about them not having your size if you’ve got slightly bigger or smaller feet. In the Emilio Luca range called Bali, from Brantano at £28.

This dress would be fab for a wedding, posh evening out or for an end of year prom. I like this style, it’s much more summery than standard prom dresses that reach your ankles and have layers and layers of material. It is much simpler but you could really dress it up to look the part. It is made from white material with a black embroidered floral design all over and has a black ribbon around the waist.
Royal Ascot week is just around the corner (starts 19th of June) so if you haven’t sorted out a dress yet this could be one to think about.
The clutch bag and shoes really compliment the dress and you could go one step further with a tiara and diamante necklace. The dress costs £50 and the bag £9, both are available on the Next website.

This little dress would be perfect for a prom or posh evening event. Imagine stepping out with a stylish up-do, matching green or white sandals and a sparkly tiara – you will be the belle of the ball. The silky material makes it look luxurious and the style is very in this season.
It has a plunging neckline to give a feminine appearance and has netting under the skirt to give it a bit of lift. I think this is one of the nicest evening dresses I have seen in a long time and it’s only £80 from Warehouse. Visit their website for more information about sizes and delivery etc.

I stumbled across this pretty pink prom gown earlier today and thought it would be a perfect dress for you girls to have a look at. The dress is fitted, flattering and sure to get you some attention on prom night. The material is plain but the top is decorated with beads for extra detail. The back of the dress is tied like a corset ensuring it fits you nice and snugly.
You could add extra detail by wearing some silver and diamante accessories and most importantly a tiara. The dress is available at The Perfect Dress for £175.

Prom time is just around the corner and I know all you girlies will be thinking ahead and looking for your perfect dress. Don’t worry - we are here to help and promise to show you any great finds we come across on the internet. I have just been browsing around and saw this stunning burgundy gown at promdressesuk.com. I love the colour and would probably go for something in a similar style if it were my prom.
The dress is actually made up of a skirt and top and costs £180; I think this price is quite good considering the amount of material the dress contains and the quality of the style. If you’re not keen on this colour it is also available in black or white.
