I love a bit of vintage shopping, especially when it comes to unique and unusual jewellery pieces but sometimes there’s just not enough time to head to the right places for a goof rummage around.

I am a real fan of plain simple graphic tee’s and have just come across a great T shirt label called I Love Boxie.

They have tons of slogan tees all in a typewriter type style. Each slogan has a story behind it and they even have a service called T Spoke whereby you can tell them a story that you would like on your T shirt and they will come up with a line and make it up for you. This service is £32 or $44.

If you will be in for a predictable valentine’s this Saturday, and shudder at the thought of a Clinton’s card and rose arriving on your lap this weekend then it may be time to start dropping some not so subtle hints to your other half!

Here are my top picks for more creative type of gifts and certainly ones that don’t involve an oversized box of chocolates. (No bad thing of course, but for me having to explain where a whole box of chocolate has vanished to and facing the instant bloating that follows is not my best look, and does not, a romantic evening make)!

Christmas for me, is a time to indulge in some serious nesting; from long hours spent under a blanket reading, to lazy afternoons watching Christmas movies, or simply just snuggling up with hot chocolate and home-baked treats whilst catching up with family and friends, I love to nest.

One thing that is an absolute must for these activities (apart from the aforementioned hot chocolate and blankets) are soft comfy clothes. I may on occasion pull on a velour tracksuit (there, I’ve said it) but when lounging in company I like to look half decent, especially during the holidays when unexpected visitors could tap the door at any moment.

So, around about now I tend to update my lounge wear with cosy comfortable items I won’t mind being seen in and that look cute too. Primark are spoiling us with their Winter shoe collection and the latest pair I am hoping to snap up are these satin lace up platforms. Featuring the all important satin material, these shoes are perfect for the New Cocktail trend as well as a great finish to both a cute and girly or super sultry LBD.

The ribbon lace ups also nod towards the gothic chic looks and the cut out detailing, peep toes and platform sole are very of the moment. With a price tag of just £15 these are a very cheap chic way to update your shoe collection!

Kate’s Christmas collection hits Topshop’s shop floor on Tuesday October 28th (when you can also pick the items up online on Topshop.com). The collection is full of great party pieces featuring sequins to sweeping floor length dresses.

These are three of Kate’s top pics from the collection. One of her other favourites is a dress with a print of a leopard across the neckline which she has lifted from a tee she used to wear as a teenager and has revamped into a mini dress. Another of her favourites are some large pocketed floral grey wide leg trousers.

Hi everyone! Sorry to do a bit of advertising on here!! I bought tickets to see the Sound of Music for Saturday 18th October 2008 (at the London Palladium) for me and my sister, but then stupidly booked a holiday and forgot about the tickets! I therefore now have 2 tickets available for the 7.30pm performance if anybody is interested.

The tickets are for stalls seats D19 and D20 and they cost £55 each, we will consider offers of £45 and over per ticket. I will be placing them on ebay on Monday if nobody has contacted me by then so get in quick if you want them! I love this quilted bow belt by Anna Vince. On the one hand it looks like an oversized bow on the other like an oversized mask. The mix of patent leather and quilted texture make the belt very interesting and tactile. The design makes this a great statement piece.

So much so that I would be tempted to dress the rest of the outfit around it – this has cat-woman written all over it! However, to get more than one wear out of it you could always team with an understated pencil skirt, blouse and killer heels and let your belt do the talking.
