I love the added accessory of a scarf and at this time of year it seems like a good investment. Why not splurge on a designer scarf, they don’t really go out of fashion, they fulfil their purpose and are pretty difficult to ruin.
I love this See by Chloé Chunky knit scarf. The cream wool and mohair blended scarf is stylish, warm and costs £140. Burberry also has a cosy looking scarf, called the Marble knit, its grey, very chunky and costs £195. Also Johnstons stock a lovely, warm scarf, its cashmere, ribbed, comes in cream, black and grey and is a little less pricey at £95.

This season its all about the chunky knits, the wind is rough and the rain is wet, what better way to enjoy Christmas than in front on a fire in a warm house wrapped in knit wear. Vivienne Westwood Anglomania knit wear to be exact.
Accessorize a casual jean and tee combo with this Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Oversized cashmere blend cardigan. The cardigan has a ribbed trim; cable knit detailing and costs £340. Throw in an oversized Balenciaga or Fendi bag with comfortable smart flats and you’re good to go!

Yes the trend of the little black dress is not going anywhere and I am amazed to see just how many different styles of dresses can come in such a colour.
Ted Baker certainly had it covered with the two wool black dresses available online. Eisuke is a gorgeous, figure flattering, wool pencil dress (pictured). It’s conservative and smart for day wear, dressed down with tights and flats or evening wear, dressed up with some killer heels and bare legs and it costs £120.
Advent is just as stylish, the also pencil shape, wool black dress, is elegant and can again be worn either day or night and would be more suited to someone who preferred a little sleeve detail, costing £130.
Both dresses are available at www.tedbaker.com.

If you haven’t seen many around that you feel are dressy enough then look no further, The billow sleeve knit dress from French Connection is gorgeous, and you can see from the picture a great way to dress it up is with the right accessories, love the belt too.
The dress is available from ASOS.com and is £70.00.

Super chunky knits are filling the highstreet rails faster than ever and all the celebs are wearing them too. For a big statement look, its better to go for a bright colour or bold pattern. That’s why I’ve chosen this one from ASOS. The contrasting blue and red aztec stitching is an instant eye catcher.
It is made by Diesel and has a discreet metal branded disc on one of the cuffs. Knits are strictly for daywear only, so don’t try and pull one off for the evening. Now make sure you balance the oversized top with either skinny jeans or tights on the bottom, and for curvier girls, you should belt up with a waist clincher to create an instant shape. This chunky knit dress will set you back £120.

Be bold and daring with your knits this season! Just because its winter it doesn’t mean we have to dress dull and boring! Look at these fab knits; they’re great for adding colour and life into your winter wardrobe.
The first shocking pink knit is from Marti Margiela, I love the shape of this knit; the strong shoulders and batwing sleeves combined is a really striking look. Teamed with black tights, chunky platforms and finishing off with fuchsia pink lippy, be prepared to turn heads! The knit can be purchased from Browns for £545; they also have a great section of bold knits from the likes of Fendi and Cesari Fabbri.
A cheaper alternative can be purchased from River Island for £29.99; this knit also has the deep v-neck and the batwing sleeves, which is really hot for this season.

I can already feel winter and I believe autumn has only just arrived, so I’m all about layering this season. It’s either too hot for the wool smart coat and to cold for just a tee so layering my knits is the only way forward (at least a jumper or cardi fits in the bag for those hot flushes).
This wool, moss coloured, ruched sleeve, v neck jumper at £28 is perfect for smart or casual wear and can be layered by this gorgeous chocolate coloured, knitted cap sleeve cardi costing £35. Pair these with a pair of skinny or flared jeans and heels.
To get your winter woollies go to www.topshop.co.uk, remember students get 10% off with a valid student card (lucky things).
