With nature being a top trend this season this is a great necklace to invest in and will go with just about anything.
It is by designer Lisa Galibardy, who only started out in jewellery design in 2002 and has no formal training which is pretty impressive given her success.
I love the necklace’s daintiness which combined with the oversized long length design makes it a really unusual piece (the length of the necklace is 37cm with a 10cm drop). The cut-out detailing also makes it really stand out against block colours.
You can pick up this necklace for £29 as well as more of her pieces over at ASOS.

Statement jewellery is still very much on the agenda for S/S 09, and the cuffs and bangles we saw through winter are here to stay.
This Carved Flowers Bangle from ASOS is perfect for completing any Spring look. Pale colours have been seen all over the catwalk, and the ivory colour of the bangle would match any honeydew or off white outfit. The detailed carving makes it look more like a one off vintage piece, and if you don’t tell, who’s going to know! It’s great for a statement piece, or layer it will other bangles and bracelets for a full on effect. It costs £7.75.
There’s also a great Carved Stone Ring to go with it if you want to completely accessorise with this statement theme. It costs £9.
So don’t throw away all of your last season jewellery yet, it might come in handy!

If you are looking to update your accessories with something that will work both now, and next season, then this necklace from River Island is perfect. Featuring dark contrasting tones it is perfect for the final sombre months left before S/S hits us.
Great for office-wear and play, sling over anything from a vintage tee to a smart shift.
Next season is all about piling on the jewellery – especially in the form of short bulky necklaces with the incorporation of textural earthy materials such as wood, as seen here.
So a perfect all rounder, this is at the top of my wish list, what’s more it’s just £14.67 from River Island – chic and cheap!

Nature will play a big part in the coming S/S 09 trends, especially in the form of nature inspired clothing in the form of prints, and accessories in the form of texture.
I adore these curved leaf hoop earrings from Topshop. Their light gold colour is perfect for the washed out hues of next season’s colour palette, and their form nods to the nature trend in a subtle, feminine way.
Featuring bullet back fastenings and textural engravings, for £8 they are a cheap way to embrace the trend and begin creating your summer wardrobe.

One of the main aspects of the New Exoticism trend are tribal influences – seen in everything from shoes to accessories. Think Masai jewellery – rich terracotta colours, beading etc.
I love this necklace from ASOS – featuring a tarnish style plate with long metal fringing it has an exotic feel and will be sure to make a statement. The chain is extra long so the necklace has a great oversized feel.
Fringing will be just as popular next season as it is currently and as the exoticism trend is all about piling on the jewellery – lots of wear can be had out of this item.
You can pick this up from ASOS for £9.97

If you’ve got the cash to flash and are still planning your New Years Eve ensemble then you could do worse than adorn yourself with reams of sparkling diamantes in the form of this stunning necklace form Tom Binns.
Featuring silver diamante clusters and multitudes of sparkling strands, this is a knock out of a necklace, fit for the most glam night of the year.
At £680.21 its pricey but absolutely beautiful. Team with a fairly understated satin jewel tone cocktail dress to let the jewellery do the talking.
You can pick one up from Net-a-porter.

One of my favourite labels right now is Marc by Marc Jacobs and here’s another example of this label’s ability to make basic items really quirky and cute.
I love this black face pendant watch which will look great worn low and on show. At £122.35 it’s not a bad price either for such a covetable label!
The watch features a cable chain necklace, a clip fastening and embossed logo charm.
The best thing about it is that it doubles up as a great necklace and a watch, making it also a great gift to give or receive this Christmas.

As we all know this season is all about ribbons and bows and the colour red and here are my top picks for the popular and very festive red bow accessories that are popular right now!
Firstly, following Luella’s A/W 08 maypole inspired collection, they created these gorgeous ribbon bow hair clips which people have been going crazy for. At £45 they are an investment but are seriously cute and would make a great gift.
Next, is this darling little bow detail bangle watch by Betsey Johnson. The concealed clock face detail is fabulous and you can pick one up from ASOS for £75.
At £165 the Miu Miu patent bow purse is the most expensive item, but in my opinion the cutest! The small zip around purse features a bow on the front and a zip fastening for holding coins as well as a stud fastening compartment for notes and cards. I love the patent red finish and think this little purse would be great for nights out, you can pick yours up from Net-a-porter.
Last but by no means least, is this great little bawhaus acrylic bow bangle from Marc by Marc Jacobs. Made from papaya plastic this is a great little bangle from a great label. You can pick one up from Net-a-porter for £60.

I really like this little necklace from ASOS. Whilst I am not at all into the whole bowtie craze I could defiantly appreciate the sweetness of a little bow necklace.
I always like to choose unusual pieces of jewellery and this one has a real sense of vintage heritage chic whilst being glam enough to team with a LBD for quirky appeal.
It would be great for layering too with blouses and cardies for the heritage trend or simply slung over a graphic tee to bring a little playfulness to some for the more edgy trends.
If you like this too you can grab yourself one for £8 from ASOS.

If you’re after a great piece of statement jewellery, or a fabulous Christmas gift for a girlfriend this delightful bow bracelet from Maison Martin Margiela could be what you are looking for. Gifty and festive, this won’t appeal to everyone, but certainly caught my eye.
This is a refreshing twist on the ever-so-popular bow craze and somehow despite the almost gawdy appearance, I think remains quite elegant. This cuff just slips on and at its widest point, spans 6cm so it’s a chunky, statement piece.
You can pick one up for £225 from Browns.
