Welcome back bleached denim! Yes ditch those dark ink blue jeans this summer, its all about bleached ripped jeans!

There’s something quiet rebellious about ripped, light denim jeans, they portray an essence of freedom and youth that is really appealing!

Christopher Kane is one designer that has inspired us all to get out those old bleached denims with his spring/summer collection, which was dominated with the palest denim teamed with snakeskin print; an interesting combination that worked surprisingly well!

Topshop have of course latched onto the trend with this pair of skinny bleach denims for only £45!

Finally a new shape denim to replace those over used skinnys that are wearing thin, (quite literally!) Taking us back to the 70’s flare is the hottest denim label around; 7 for all mankind!

A complete contrast to the skinny leg shape, these super flares may take some getting used to. I’m personally really excited about this new leg shape and think it is long overdue! As you can see 7 for all Mankind have produced a light cream denim in this superflare shape to create a more sophistcated look; extremely flattering and the colour is a perfect shade for summer!

However they also have a light wash denim in this shape that are great for casual wear; just team with a plain tank top, flip flops and some chunky jewellery for an effortlessly chic look!

Reminiscing over the days where jeans were all flattering, tight at the top and flared at the bottom? It seems so long ago that I was actually completely satisfied with a pair of jeans. After reading a lot about J Brand and hearing how amazing their jeans are I decided to see for myself. I can confidently say they are as good as you hear.

Over the last couple of years, I think Miss Selfridge has really come along way from the days I remember it to be quite a young teen clothing store. Each time I walk passed I’m seduced into the store by some sort of cute lacy number or a sleek satin smart garment.

After browsing the company’s web page I found that the new Gothic Angels collection is gorgeous and a must buy for this season. I love the Gothic Lace Tie Back Shirt in wine, priced at a very reasonable £40 and this would go perfectly with the Rinse Paris Skinny Jeans in dark wash denim, priced at £35. This outfit can be smartened up with some pointed black courts, possibly patent? Finally finish the outfit with a small black clutch purse.

I have just heard that Irregular Choice, well known for their unusual and wacky shoe styles are in the process of launching a clothing line. I hear you asking, “Will the clothes be as unique as the shoes?” and the answer is yes, they certainly will be. To the left is an example of a style they have chosen, I personally really like this piece but am not sure I’d be caught outside in some of their other designs.

This style is known as Oli Boli and I’m sure we can expect a lot more where this came from. A sneak preview of some of their garments can be found here - Love it!

This season coloured denim is really becoming popular among celebs, even style icon Victoria Beckham stepped out for her weekly shopping spree in a pair of electric-blue Tsubi jeans. They can really brighten up your outfit and look fabulous with other plain garments such as a black top and black pair of shoes.

I’m not quite sure if I’d be confident enough to walk around in the blue, red or purple jeans but I think I could handle the lemonade pair. I’d do the same as Posh and go for skinny jeans otherwise you may end up looking a bit like someone who stepped out of the 80’s.
