Lust of the week, possible lust of the month even, goes to this Judith Leiber Cupcake crystal-embellished clutch. Fans of Sex and the City will recognise it as the bag Charlotte’s daughter had at Carrie’s wedding, the bag that she ‘helpfully’ put Carrie’s phone in so she missed all of Big’s calls.
The swirly crystal embellishments make it look very convincing as a cupcake, and the gold adds extra bling points. There’s a gold clasp at the front, and a short gold chain. Inside, there’s more gold, with a gold-tone leather lining, and there’s even a mirror for make up touch ups.
Of course, a bad like this comes with a pretty hefty price tag – £3,920. Luckily though, it’s currently sold out, so you won’t be tempted to mortgage your house for it!
You can lust over it at Net A Porter now!

As we know stonewash denim is huge this season – and whether you opt for some staple skinnies or dabble in some swimwear there are tons of options out there for embracing this trend!
Here are my top four picks of the best pieces in the shops!
Marc Jacob’s denim bikini is set to be popular this summer and you can pick it up from ASOS for £85 for the top and another £85 for the bottoms.
I love these denim shorts by True Religion which come in at £145 and are available from Net-a-porter.
No summer wardrobe is complete without a denim skirt and this lantern shape number from Topshop is a great piece and costs just £32.
Finally if you don’t like to wear stonewash you can always carry it instead with this denim holdall, which is a great bargain at £28 from ASOS!

I love Topshop’s online Summer Essentials page… lots of inspiration for those summer beach holidays!
Use it as a checklist for your holiday packing or just snap up what you need.
I love their appliqué horse tote bag in coral. It’s got the seaside theme and is bright and cheery – a nice change to those corporate work bags we’ve been lugging round all winter! Plus it’s really roomy for all your beach bag goodies and costs £35.
Next on my wish list is their multi plait trim trilby hat – perfect for snoozing under whilst protecting your face form those rays. It comes in at £20.
I couldn’t step off a place without some great shades and these animal print ones will go with anything and are nice and cheap at £15.
Obviously swimwear is an essential and I just love this vintage floral bikini in blue for £25.
Lastly you need something to pack it all in and lug it about and Topshop’s animal print trolley case is perfect for the job and will stand out nicely on the carousel and will only set you back £60.

Bags have been a bit overlooked this season, in favour of statement sky high shoes, but they’re still an essential accessory for finishing that summer outfit.
A spacious day time bag is a must, whether you’re round town or at the beach, you don’t want to be cramming everything in to a tiny bag. This Marks and Spencer Chain Straw Weave Shopping Bag on the right, has a great summer feel, and the chain detail gives is a sophisticated edge. Perfect for getting everything in and out of, and the light, natural colour will match anything. It costs £25 and is available now.
For the evening, the clutch is still the number one bag to be seen with, and this Half Moon Clutch from ASOS is incorporates lots of summer trends, including nude colours, a hard casing and a shell motif. there’s a strap in case you don’t trust yourself to hang on to it, and it’s also got a vintage feel to it. It costs £22 and you can get it from ASOS now.

With the wedding season kicking off once again, it’s time for many of us to start hunting down the perfect dress and accessories for our various ceremonies and receptions on our calendar, and the top of my wish list is this floriferous satin petal clutch by Christan Louboutin.
Perfect for adding a fun and feminine touch to any outfit, this fushia purse features a ruffle petal finish as well as Louboutin’s signature shoe fastening (very Carrie of Sexy and the City), a silver beaded chain to hold, as well as their famous red lining.
Perfect for clashing against strong colours or accenting pale flirtatious and feminine pieces, it is available over at Net-a-porter for £835.
It’s most certainly an investment piece, but a very beautiful one at that!

As we all know big trends this summer will be western and safari and what better to top off your looks than with this leather weave detail barrel bag.
I love the unsual shape (is it just me or did any other kids of the 1980’s have lots of barrel shaped bags as children?) My Care Bear and Rainbow Bright barrel bags were my particular favourites!
The long shoulder strap means you can wear it across the body as well as over the shoulder.
Great for teaming with a plain safari style shirt shift and anything from floral skirts to stone wash denim, you can grab one from ASOS for £28.

I absolutely adore this wrist clutch from Reiss, its modern shape and stunning detailing screams ‘designer’, yet at £69 is positively highstreet.
Perfect for topping off cocktail dresses and wedding outfits it features a snake skin style faceting and contrast satin lining for a luxe feel without the luxury price tag.
It is available in grey (a beautiful oyster shade) or mint (pictured, though seems more aqua in this picture to my eye).
Get yours from Reiss in store or online.

With the return of the blazer there’s been a comeback of all things preppy, and it’s a great look to go from winter to spring, as you can layer up with shirts, jumpers, and of course, a blazer.
This trend hasn’t really hit the high street properly yet, but here’s a few items already on the shelves. If you really want to embrace the preppy look, a pair of loafers are key, and these Karla Penny Loafers have got all the key features – brown leather, tassels, and the classic shape. They cost £45.
A shirt is also key – wear it tucked in for ultra preppy, or loose for a more casual feel. This Neutral Stripe Shirt, £22, from Dorothy Perkins, is a great mix for casual and smart, with a soft collar and roll up sleeves.
Finally, the ultimate preppy accessory, a satchel, and sadly these don’t come cheap if you’re looking for a full size, 100% leather one. However, on a smaller, cheaper scale, ASOS come to the rescue with this cute Painted Leather Satchel for £28. You might not be able to carry your entire life around in it, but it’s definitely big enough for the essentials.
So if preppy’s your thing, then hunt out those old episodes of The OC and get ready for the come back!
