Markus Lupfer is a bit hit amongst quirky rock chicks like Daisy Lowe and Gwen Stephanie for his glamorous but grungey jumper designs.
The £200 + price tag is a bit of a steep one for a jumper, but luckily Markus Lupfer has just launched an exclusive line for Topshop, featuring five new designs on his signature black and grey jumpers.
For a subtle, classic look there’s a black jumper featuring a silver sequined bow, which costs £85. Or for a real statement piece, try the parrot motif, featuring bright reds and blues.
The over-sized shape of the jumpers means they’re perfect for wearing with leggings or skinny jeans, or wear them over a body con dress for a grungey, layered look. Each design costs £85 and is available online now.

A new film about fashion royalty Coco Chanel is set to hit cinemas this Friday. Coco Before Chanel looks at the life of the icon before she launched the Chanel brand.
Whilst we’d all like to own a piece of Chanel, the £1000 + price tag for most of their items makes it no more than a fashion fantasy for most of us. However, with such simple, classic styles it’s easy to recreate the look at a fraction of the price.
The key to the look is simple, understated, and most importantly, monochrome. A pair of black and white ballet pumps have been seen in Chanel collections for decades. Pretty Ballerinas have this great square-toed, quilted pair, that come in a beige/cream colour with a black trim. They cost £145 and you can get them here or in their store in Mayfair, London.
ASOS have this Contrast Jersey Longline Cardigan which will add a touch of Chanel to any outfit. Complete with signature gold trim buttons, it can be worn with a casual weekend look or over an evening outfit. It costs £22.

If you like your fashion hot of the press, then it doesn’t come much hotter than new label Inc. Apparel, which was launched just this week.
They make great fashion-forward T shirts for women, and their first mini capsule range features two iconic prints which were selected by a public vote.
One features Lily Allen, and the other Michael Jackson, and both have a great punk/graffiti look to them with an over-sized shape, slash neck, and bold colours.
Even better, Inc.Apparel use Earth Positive garments which are made from 100% organic cotton, and are made using only green power, so you’re helping out the environment and looking good at the same time!
Each T shirt costs £20, and they’re strictly limited to a run of 200, so snap up this cutting edge fashion quickly! You can get them from the Inc. Apparel website.

Structuring is something we’re going to be seeing a lot more of over the coming months, and it’s a great trend for the office – think updated 80s shoulder pads and power suits.
This Cross Front Tulip Skirt Dress has the perfect structured look, but in a subtle, smart way. The capped sleeves give it strong shoulders, and the front and back V-necks give it a uniformed, symmetrical feel. There’s a fitted band around the waist for a nipped-in silhouette, and give a tulip shape to the bottom half of the dress.
It can be worn with bare legs during the summer, and then teamed with another big trend for A/W09, black lace tights. And for the complete power dressing look, add a blazer over the top.
The dress costs £32 and is available now from ASOS.

Trawling the sales rack is always a bit of a stress, but there are still some bargains to be had before everything summery is cleared away to make way for new Autumn/Winter collections.
Dorothy Perkins have some great summer bargains, including this Black Ditsy Peplum Dress, for just £9. It’s even still available in all sizes except an 8, which is quite a rare thing for a sale item. The floral print and strapless shape is perfect for summer, and it can be adapted for the less-than-summery weather by wearing a t-shirt underneath. Structuring has been creeping into the highstreet this summer, and is set to be big news come autumn, so the peplum shape will work into autumn, and the black background on the dress means it can be teamed with black tights.

With the return of the rain (goodbye summer), and festival season well and truly upon us, the best investment you can make this time of year is a pair of solid wellies.
Of course there are far more options than just plain green, but if you want to go for the originial and the best, look no further than a nice pair of Hunters. The number one choice for celebrities far and wide, Hunter boots have been around for nearly 200 years, and are an iconic British brand.
If you want to make a statement, these red ones are great. Bright and colourful, and far more interesting than green, these are guarenteed to many any outfit stand out. And of course, they’ll keep the rain out and keep your feet nice and warm. It’s £60 for a pair, but you get what you pay for, and these will definitely last countless summers.

Lust of the week, possible lust of the month even, goes to this Judith Leiber Cupcake crystal-embellished clutch. Fans of Sex and the City will recognise it as the bag Charlotte’s daughter had at Carrie’s wedding, the bag that she ‘helpfully’ put Carrie’s phone in so she missed all of Big’s calls.
The swirly crystal embellishments make it look very convincing as a cupcake, and the gold adds extra bling points. There’s a gold clasp at the front, and a short gold chain. Inside, there’s more gold, with a gold-tone leather lining, and there’s even a mirror for make up touch ups.
Of course, a bad like this comes with a pretty hefty price tag – £3,920. Luckily though, it’s currently sold out, so you won’t be tempted to mortgage your house for it!
You can lust over it at Net A Porter now!

It seems like you can’t move for sales at the moment, but the high street has already started looking ahead to next season, with the release of some limited collections for A/W 09.
Dorothy Perkins is leading the pack, with the launch of their DP Collection. Featuring some of the key trends for A/W 09, the collection contains 16 staple pieces that will transition nicely.
Sequins are set to be big news again this year, and this Cobalt Sequin Vest is wearable now and all the way through winter. The vest shape means it can be worn now with bare legs, and then come winter team it with leggings, tights, or jeans. As it’s only sequinned on one side, it doesn’t look too formal, and isn’t too heavy. It costs £32, and also comes in black.
The DP Collection is available online now.
