This summer it’s all about the floral maxi, and the nature of maxi’s eliminate the need to coordinate a whole outfit and are so comfortable and breezy in the hot weather, they make it an essential summer buy for me!

I love the designer option here by Diane von Furstenberg – this is their #17 look from their spring runway show and is such a feminine, pretty ensemble but at £356 it is on the expensive size.

The Highstreet option is from Mango and is considerably cheaper at £85, especially as it is 100% silk.

Team you maxi dress with caged heels and a glam jacket to emulate the DVF look, or simply with a skinny cardy and flipflops for a laid back look.
