If you’re a fan of ruffles and pleats then you may be interested in brother and sister duo Camilla and Marc. Based in Sydney their label features lots of cute, feminine pieces.
I love this tulip layered pleat skirt. The stripes give it a very definite nautical feel yet the gathered front facing pleat and layering give a fresh twist to and old trend and familiar shape.
I would team with subtle timeless pieces such as a scoop neck tank casually tucked in, a fine unfussy thin gold anklet or necklace and flat sandals.
You can pick this up for £295 from Net-a-porter.

Leggings are still very much a wardrobe staple, but we’ve come a long way since you could only buy them in plain black.
Net A Porter have got the latest looks for leggings, and they’re now becoming the centre of an outfit rather than just a change off tights.
These Stella McCartney Dégradé sequin leggings are perfect for turning a simple tunic dress into a great statement evening outfit. Dip-dye and sequins are two trends that’ve been seen a lot recently, and the nude colour spectrum matches in perfectly with the Spring colour palette.
The key is to team them with something very simple – stick to black, greys, or whites, and nothing with too much frill or detail, and of course, killer heels.
The Stella McCartney Dégradé sequin leggings cost £795 and are available at Net A Porter now.

With warmer weather hopefully on it’s way, it’s time for the key transitional piece, the spring jacket. When it’s too warm for a winter coat, but not quite warm enough just to brave it with a cardigan or jumper.
If you’re feeling flush, then check out Diane von Furstenberg’s Zaria sequined jacket, costing £858. Capturing loads of this season’s key trends – florals, nude colours, a tie neck, and sequins, this jacket is perfect for day or night. Slip it over jeans and a casual top during the day, or wear it over a LBD for a splash of colour. The balloon three quarter length sleeves also add a great bit of detail, adding a bit of volume. It’s available now from Net A Porter.
If you’re on a budget though, this Floral Mac from ASOS is definitely value for money, at £54. Whilst it might be a bit more coat than jacket like, the lightweight cotton will keep you cool, and the mac is a key shape that’ll see you through to when the weather starts turning colder after summer again. the bustle back and tie details on the waist and sleeves make this mac look much more expensive than it is, and again, the floral print is key.
The shops are full of the joys of spring, so have a hunt around for the perfect spring cover up!

Vests and tees with photo prints on are all over the high street at the moment, and they’re great for wearing with leggings or jeans and layering with another vest underneath, or cardigans on top for a casual but interesting look.
ASOS have teamed up with London Sketchbook to create this City of Dreams Tee. It’s a classic vest shape, and nice a long so fine for wearing with leggings. the print covers the whole of the front, and features a Victorian inspired street scene. More excitingly, it features a quote from the poet W.B. Yeats, which reads ‘tread softly because you tread on my dreams’. so not only is it on-trend, but you can impress everyone with your literature knowledge.
It’s exclusive to ASOS, costs £22, and is available now.

Polka dot is a style that will be taking over the trends all this season and next. The mini dots have been seen at Balenciaga and Ungaro. Some polka dots have also been seen in the form of sequins combining both the metallic and polka dot trend!
We found these fantastic tights from Jonathan Aston which are available in a beautiful indigo colour. These tights are available at tights please and they are not to be missed! The fantastically stretchy material means they are a great fit, and at only £7.99 are the ideal way to adapt the polka dot trend.

I had to do a double take when I saw the description for this dress, but they’re not lying – the Limited Collection Poppins Print Dress really does have tiny Mary Poppins all over it.
It’s a tunic dress that can be worn with tights, leggings, or bare legs and has a nice puff ball detailing on the sleeves. It comes in black and the Poppins print is in white, so it stands out really well, and shows a filled in silhouette of the famous nanny, complete with the infamous umbrella and bag.
Why exactly Marks and Spencer have chosen this particular character to adorn their dress seems unclear, but it’s certainly a quirky, one-off piece and unlike anything else they usually produce.
It costs £39.50, and as with all Limited Collection pieces it’ll probably sell out quickly, so if you fancy it snap it up quick! It’s available from the larger M&S stores that stock Limited Collection, as well as online.

This waist cincher by Alexander McQueen screams toughness and attitude, and I love it. Featuring black patent leather and cut out sides, use it to create a mean office look by throwing over a pencil skirt and contrasting billowing blouse to create a sharp statement.
Likewise throw over something flirty and feminine to bring to the outfit the popular ‘tough’ aspect which is key to much of this season’s trends.
Alternatively combine with a patterned print shift to accentuate the graphic appeal.
You can grab yourself one from Net-a-porter for £377.

Balmain is unmistakably one of the most popular designers of denim right now and if like me, you love them but the £1k+ price tag is out of your reach then it looks like Siwy have come to our rescue!
Pictured right, and available from ASOS for £150 these tie die skinny crop jeans are very reminiscent of Balmain’s pair as seen on their spring / summer 09 catwalk show (as per the image on the left).
Team as Balmain do, with directional cool separates such as a cropped leather jacket and slinky vest tucked in and heels.
With celebs such as Jessica Szohr, Kate Moss and Kylie all sporting the latest Balmain denim right now, imitations are bound to be flying off the shelves, so pick up your pair here before they sell out!

Always a fan of ASOS, I love it when their weekly newsletter appears in my inbox, usually with at least one piece I want immediately.
This week, at the top of my wish list is this military style cardigan. The half length sleeves are perfect for the warmer weather ahead and the cropped length and nipped in style make a nice change form the more bulky type cardies around.
Team with skinnies and sky high heels for and easy chic feel, and when it comes to accessorising, oversized earrings would be too much, beads would interfere, but a stack of chunky bangles would balance out the shorter length sleeves and keep the accessory as far from the interest on the cardy as possible making it work.
You can pick one for £29.50.

See by Chloe is a great little label for picking up stylish pretty pieces this summer. As they focus on delivering younger, sweeter pieces such as dresses and funky separates than their more sophisticated counterpart, Chloe, they are spot on for the top trends too.
This season they’ve gone all out for the floral trend and I really like this patch flower bandeau dress. Featuring a cute ditsy floral print and wash out tones it is perfect for creating a mismatch look by accessorising with tougher items such as a cropped jacket and a clutch.
You can pick this up over at My Wardrobe for £234 or nip over just to have a look at some of the label’s other feminine pieces.
