Another 80s Revival!

80s Designer Vs HighstreetBad taste is currently good news, and we’re experiencing (yet another) 80s revival. This time it’s about embracing all this tacky, so pull out the scrunchies, clashing fluorescent colours and yes, even shoulder pads.

This trend is great for nights out when you can really have some fun with it. Alexander McQueen’s flamboyant creations are perfect, and it you’re looking for the ultimate 80s accessory to complete your outfit, you can’t go wrong with this Neon Panel Clutch. The pink geometric pattern has 80s written all over it, and is a great statement piece. It costs £484 and is available from Net A Porter.

If you’re looking for a slightly cheaper alternative, then ASOS have also got some great pieces for this trend. This One Shoulder Colour Block Body Con Dress is only £30, and hits the trend on the head with neon colours, one shoulder, and a random pattern. If you want to play it subtle, it’s also available in grey, but they pink is much better for standing out!

So the rule of thumb for this trend seems to be the brighter, clashing, miss-match patterns the better!

I don’t mind the ASOS dress so much but am I the only one out there who can’t STAND the whole 80’s revival?

If I put together an outifit and decide it looks even the slightest bit 80’s, I have to take it off and do it all over again.

neon, jumpsuits, acid wash, high tops – for some, but not for me :)

I adore vintage fashion, though I’m not into the jumpsuits and high tops, I’m definitely into vintage fashion’s neon colors!
