Matt & Nat are a great brand which forego animal products and instead have created stunning accessories such as these 100% vegan leather bags.
The mustard colour Everest shopper features soft distressed leather and costs £175.
A slightly cheaper option would be the blue messenger bag for £145 – I think the design is fabulous and love the quirky features such as the twin front zips and the fact the lining is made from recycled plastic bottles, and which even says so stamped across the inside of the bag.
Matt & Nat are also very environment conscious and have started a handbag recycling programme whereby anyone in North America (soon to go global) who has finished with their Matt & Nat bag can return it to them and it will go to someone worthy.
Not that I could ever imagine parting with one of their bags, but it’s comforting to know that should you need to move on, it will have a nice new owner and not end up in a dumpster for the rest of it’s days.
You can pick both these items from ASOS.

I love anything with horses on, and they seem to be quietly infiltrating the high street recently – have a rummage in H & M and you’ll notice a lot of horse print t-shirts if you look closely.
This Horse Print Tunic dress from Once Upon A Time has definitely got a horse theme all over it – a cute black and white print of galloping horses that covers almost the entire dress. The tunic shape with long sleeves is perfect whilst the weather is still a bit unpredictable, and it looks great teamed with black opaque tights or leggings.
And the best thing about this dress is that it’s currently half price,! Reduced from £105 to £50 it’s definitely a bargain.
So if you fancy embracing the horse theme get your hands on this, but be quick as the large size has already sold out, so head over to ASOS now.

I love these dinky wallets by Tory Birch – their bright eye popping colours will bring a great accent to any outfit.
They come in fluorescent pink and yellow (as well as a slightly more expensive version in a smart brown design) and feature patent crinkled leather as well as plenty of pockets and a zipped section to keep things neat.
To give you an idea of their size they are around 4’’ by 8’’ and 1’’ deep, so nice and compact, but with their bright colour they’ll be easy to spot and should reduce the time spent digging around your bag trying to locate it!
You can get one for yourself from Net-a-porter for £136.

I am a real fan of the preppy pinafore look and love Net-a-porter’s latest addition to their collection – this plunging pinafore dress by Theory.
Featuring next season’s popular navy hue, pockets galore and an adjustable back strap to nip in the waist as desired, it is perfect for week or weekend-wear.
Team as styled in the image with a smart shirt (the one in the image happens to be by Steven Alan, and is available from Net-a-porter for £115) and heels.
Off duty, you could pair with a plain or graphic tee, and flats.
You can pick one up for £205.

Now that (fingers crossed) we’ve seen the last of the snow, we can all pack away the Ugg boots and wellies and start wearing slightly more flattering shoes again. These Miu Miu Jewel Embellished Flats are perfect for seeing your feet into Spring, and will work with any outfit.
Patent black leather is a timeless classic for flats, and the green and gold jewel detail add a bit of class and elegance to a staple shoe. They have a sturdy but low block heel so they shouldn’t wear out or bend out of shape like cheap flats can.
Wear them for the office with a smart dress, at the weekend for a casual look with jeans, or even for a sensible-shoed night out teamed with your best LBD.
They cost £294 and are available from Net A Porter now.

Graphic print tees are a great way to update your weekend wardrobe, or perfect for looking stylish and quirky but casual at the same time, and Urban Outfitters currently have a great selection.
Classic band logo t-shirts are starting to look a little dated unless it’s the latest buzz band, in which case they’ll be out of fashion again in two weeks, so quirky prints are the way to go. This Truly Madly Deeply shirt features the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland in a black print on a white tee. It’s a big, bold print that’s sure to attract attention, and the over-sized fit of the shirt means you can wear it loads of different ways – with jeans, leggings, and with another top underneath if you want to layer up.
It costs £28 and is availabel from the Urban Outiftters website or instores now.

Out of all of the S/S 09 catwalk shows one of my top favourites has to be Christopher Kane’s – naming the Flinstones, Dinosaurs and Planet of the Apes as the inspiration, I adore the translation achieved.
I especially love these 3 pieces that Net-a-porter have recently added to their collection and which have predictably, already flown off the shelves!
You will need a pretty penny to invest in one of these dresses, at £2735, £3855 and £2665 from left to right they are expensive, but if you have the cash I’d use Net-a-porter’s Designer Update tool so you can be notified as soon as more stock arrives.
It’s hard to pick a favourite but if pushed I think I would have to choose the middle one – timeless and perfect for the red carpet, it along with the whole collection is stunning.

A fantastic transitional piece to invest in right now is the navy boyfriend style blazer. With navy set to be a huge colour next season it is a perfect colour and article to get you through the current dreary weather as well as starting to build your S/S wardrobe.
Next season you will see navy being clashed with bright acid colours such as canary yellow and vivid coral. For now it’s the perfect piece to layer with and take you into the warmer months.
For play team with a white scoop neck tee, skinnies and sky high heels, downgrading to a simple white vest as the temperature rises and for work simply switch out the skinnies for a pencil skirt.
The Designer version is by Stella McCartney and available from Net-a-porter for £856.
The Highstreet version is from Topshop and can be snapped up for £55.

This is one of the latest items to be added to River Island online store and it’s a great piece to work the One World / New Exotica trend.
Plain structured shifts will be all the rage next season and leopard print will continue to be a strong trend – especially when used in the detailing and accessories.
To achieve the One World vibe, just add some chunky necklaces and stacked heels (preferably with some sort of wooden and/or tribal African references).
Swapping out the belt for a wider leather one would also help to create the textural and tactile feel for this trend. Also, layering up several belts is set to be popular too, and this trend is all about exploring the world of mismatching and piling on contrasting colours and textures.
You can pick up this dress for £44.03.

If you will be in for a predictable valentine’s this Saturday, and shudder at the thought of a Clinton’s card and rose arriving on your lap this weekend then it may be time to start dropping some not so subtle hints to your other half!
Here are my top picks for more creative type of gifts and certainly ones that don’t involve an oversized box of chocolates. (No bad thing of course, but for me having to explain where a whole box of chocolate has vanished to and facing the instant bloating that follows is not my best look, and does not, a romantic evening make)!
I would be far happier with the likes of Paul Smith’s special edition valentine’s love heart handkerchief. Perfect for blotting away the tears whilst reading the essay of sweet nothings that fills your card.
At the very least I would adore these Je’Taime earrings and I think my head would spin off into space if I unwrapped the latest Herve bandage dress.
I would give top points for the romance behind giving a funky waist cincher complete with swallows kissing and would find it hard not to fall in love with sweetheart slippers.
Better than a rose that lasts just a few days at best, is a vintage corsage that will last a lifetime and lastly, forget the anonymous ‘be mine’ card, say is with jewellery!
#1 – Paul Smith, valentine’s love heart handkerchief – £20
#2 – Urban Outfitters, Je T’aime Earrings – £10
#3 – Net-a-Porter, Herve Leger Twisted Colour Block Dress – £1,312
#4 – Boohoo, Swallow Clasp Belt – £12
#5 – Accessorize, Heart Fleece Slipper Boots – £15
#6 – Accessorize, Oversized Vintage Corsage – £10
#7 – ASOS, Be Mine Necklace – £6
