A key item for the closet this spring / summer has to be the snakeskin gladiator. For heels this summer, snakeskin is the number one trend and gladiator styles will remain just as popular as ever and are great for toughening up shifts and floral dresses, which are also set to be huge.

I adore this pair from River Island, they have everything going for them – the shoe boot style, the mid heel, the light golden beige snakeskin which is perfect for teaming with the aforementioned make-up colours and the wooden heal which lends itself for the new exoticism trend with it’s earthy textures – I can’t fault them.

What’s more the elegant drop-cut of the top strap helps to combat any possible unsightly ‘cankles’ and at £68.50 they’re not a bad price either.
