I’m a big advocate of the lightweight jumper – they’re comfy, not too warm, not too cold, and all you need to do is pull them on and go. But they do seem to have a nasty habit of looking a bit scruffy – it’s almost impossible to look anything but casual in one. I think ASOS might have solved the problem though, with this Tie Neck Pussy Bow Jumper. The pussy bow has been big news for a while now, but it’s generally only seen on shirts. However, adding the detail to this jumper, the bow instantly makes it look smarter, as do the cuffed sleeves.

At 75% cotton though we’re definitely still in jumper territory, and it could still be worn loose with jeans, or simply tuck it into a skirt and you’ve got yourself a smarter look, but one that you won’t freeze to death in.

At £25 this is a pretty good bargain for a jumper, and it’s available in purple, green (as shown) or charcoal, available from ASOS.
