Oscar’s Tweed Shift Dress

Friday, August 29th, 2008

oscar-de-la-renta-tweed.jpgIn keeping with the new collection Oscar creates another dress worthy of the sophisticated fashion we all know and love.

This time it’s a Tweed sleeveless shift dress with an embroidered braid trim around the neck. Perfect for work and play picture yourself having drinks at the Met or presenting a piece of work to a board of directors. Pair with tights as seen here with some wonderful courts, perhaps black patent, then top the look off with a lovely black trench coat. The Oscar de la Renta dress has cute cap sleeves and fastening zip at the back of the dress.

Buy it now at net-a-porter costing £1,435.

Ruffles, Bows & Frills

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

ASOS Keyhole ruffle detail dressI’ve just come across this beautiful dress from ASOS – with its pussy bow neck tie, ruffled, frilly edges and floaty material and at just £38 this is a dress from heaven.

I encourage you to take a peek at the very handy ‘catwalk view’ on the ASOS link page to see just how bouncy the material is in action! Perfect for a summer party, wedding (they do it in coral too), or just floating around your house admiring yourself in every reflection, this is dress is one of the prettiest dresses I’ve seen so far this year.

As nice as this girly look is, I would consider toughening up with either a black leather waist cincher (also handy for hiding the tell tail waist seams that proves it’s not designer – oh hail Gok) or teaming with black heels and a black cropped leather skinny bomber for angel come biker appeal.

Designer V Highstreet: Two Tone Ballerina

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Blotch BallerinaI was having a float around Brown’s online store earlier and came across these two tone ballerinas and was sure I had seen them elsewhere.. and I had – Oasis have a similar pair on sale for less than half the price!

I love this style of pump – wit the smart black and white look they are perfect for the office if you want to escape heels for a day and quirky enough for casual wear too. Both are made from soft leather and I would find it hard to choose the better pair. On one hand the pair from Browns by Bloch are cuter with their gathered ruche elastic, white edging and stitch detailing, however, Oasis have a more structured feel and would suit many more outfits.

Either way, monochrome will feature big next season, and at £95 for the Bloch pair and £35 for Oasis’s offering, they are both a hit in my book!

Wear with low slung harem cropped trousers and a tucked in tee with a skinny tight fitting cropped cardy on top for minimalist chic appeal.

Marin Oversized Clutch

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Jimmy Choo Marin Oversized ClutchI absolutely love this new Marin oversized clutch by Jimmy Choo. The oversized clutch goes with just about everything – it’s great teamed with a checked shirt and trumpet flared jeans, fabulous with dresses and skirts, plus this particular style will go with so many of the looks next season.

The black leather and multi-zip detail instantly translates the punk, rock and goth inspired trends. Plus it will toughen up pretty looks too, from folk based looks to ruffles and Victoriana pussy bow blouses.

And it’s not just the outside that’s beautiful, the inside features tan coloured suede so soft you’d be forgiven for wanting to just climb on in.

Available now from Net-a-porter for £650.

Puffball Skirt

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Puff Ball SkirtI love this new skirt from Warehouse, and with the puffball skirt set to be popular for Autumn I think this is a great investment. Pair with shoe boots and a loose fitting white scoop-neck vest tucked in for a casual look. Add a structured short tux jacket and thick tights to keep out the cold.

I think this style skirt is a great piece for next season as it can be dressed up or down, it adds curves in all the right places and emphasises the waist. The multi-layers gives this punk appeal.

Get yours for direct from Warehouse for £35.

Wonderbra D to G Everyday – Savour or Failure?

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

wonderbra-d-g-everyday-2200-black-lingeriepleasecouk.jpgFinally the famous support for fuller busts. Its time to celebrate and buy one in every colour- white, black and nude.

Although this is a great product do large busts really need the Wonderbra push up treatment?

Hopefully this great range will give confidence to women who feel they need a bit of a lift, also gaining the famous support of the Wonderbra.

The bras comes in two ranges Everyday & Glamour so its great for day or night.
The D to G Strapless bra is perfect under anything but the test is how much support it gives?

Wonderbra Claims you can wear it over 50 different ways using the detachable straps.

After trying and testing this theory I found about 20 ways to wear it but got myself in a tangled mess…

Here’s some… Any ideas please comment so I can try them out. So whether it is savour or a failure it is a revolution for the larger bust! Buy Wonderbra at Lingerie Please.
