The Trench Coat

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

k-karl-lagerfield-morland-asymmetric-trench.jpgSome of the most fashion forward magazines have brought a key and worth investing in piece to my attention this month and that key piece is the trench coat. It’s ideal for the weather we hope to expect over the next month or so which would hopefully be patchy sunshine with low and refreshing winds not the gale forces we feel now.

Wishful thinking but if we were so lucky this K Karl Lagerfeld Morland asymmetric trench is perfect. The white cotton trench with quilted side panels is flattering, contemporary, cool and versatile enough to be worn with anything. What else would we expect from the amazingly talented Karl Lagerfeld behind Chanel.

The trench is available at Net A Porter costing £490.

Plan & Prep For Summer

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

hunter-wellington-boots.jpgI know it seems strange that planning for the summer would involve investing in some good Wellington boots but if you have ever been to Glastonbury or ever been travelling you will understand what I mean.

Each year some of my friends have either been away jungle trekking on their travelling expedition or festival frolicking at Glasto or V and they have all come back wishing they had invested in a pair of strong and stylish Wellington boots. So I have found some excellently cool Wellington boots by Hunter. Available in many different colours including green, pale pink, red and lime green they will assist your adventures this summer.

The Hunter Wellington boots are available at My Wardrobe online costing £50.

Floral In Cavalli

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

roberto-cavalli-floral-print-dress.jpgAnother fabulous dress for the summer and this time created by the Italian designer Roberto Cavalli. Famously known for bright colours and patterned garments Cavalli produces successful collections each season.

This multi coloured Roberto Cavalli Floral print mini dress is beautifully feminine with a halter neck and crisscross straps at the back. Along with the Temperley dress I previously wrote about this also looks like a dress I would expect to see adorned by the gorgeous girls of Girls Aloud. Pair it with some cute sandals and floral style clutch and your good to go.

The dress is available at Net A Porter costing £945.

Tempted By Temperley

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

temperley-london-isaline-mini-dress.jpgEach week I am excited by a new dress I decide to lust after, I might add it really is just lust as I could no way afford to drop a 1,000 each time, but if I had the resources this would be another dress at the top of my list.

The Temperley London Isaline mini dress is elegant and poised with a jewelled halter neck and ruched bust. It reminds me of one of the many gorgeous and cool dresses the band members of Girls Aloud wear and make beautiful so very well.

As I said before the dress is pricey but if you can afford to spend £1,250 then you would be wise to do so on this dress at Net A Porter.

New Look for New Look!

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Giles for New Look Tonal DressOk this dress is a bit pink to put it mildly, but I think the design is absolutely gorgeous and the use of tonal colours is really funky!

It is a ‘Giles Deacon for New Look’ creation and I have to say if the rest of his collection follows this high standard New Look might just be my new favourite shop (well amongst others!)

I think the way it is sectioned into unusual abstract shapes by the use of tonal colours and mini tiers really set this dress apart from most, however I just can’t get over how pink it is! I hope they do this dress in other colours as it would be such a waste of a great design! I’ll keep my Fingers crossed!

This dress costs £60, which is quite expensive for New Look but remember it is designed by the very credible Giles Deacon!

Stella's Collosal Heels!

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Stella Mc Cartney S/S 08 FootwearI love this time of year when we get a taste of the new summer footwear as it starts to enter our favourite stores and hopefully into our summer wardrobes!

One collection of summer footwear I have looked at this week is Stella Mc Cartney’s, who has shown she isn’t afraid of a heel! Yes these sandals have the most colossal heel that would be a struggle for even a supermodel to walk in, but they of course look fabulous so who cares!

One of my favourite pairs from the collection is this beautiful pair of sandals; the intricate beading gives them a cool tribal look that always works well in the summer! The combination of vibrant colours is perfect for those hot sunny days we are all longing for! To check out the rest of Stella’s footwear range, check out her new website.

Embellish Me!

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Monsoon Embellished BagI am obsessed with the fantastic selection of embellished bags from Monsoon/ Accessorize this season! They are so vibrant in an array of different colours and designs to really get you in the mood for summer.

I am always drawn to embellishments and these beautifully embellished bags certainly grasped my attention. Monsoon has definitely provided a bag for every outfit with this range as the multicoloured gems and beads pick up on every colour!

However if you are more of a neutral girl you may prefer this stunning cream satin trim bag, which is one of my favourites! For £40 it’s pretty reasonable, I just can’t wait for the weather to get warmer so I can justify buying one! Check out their site for more fabulous bags!

The Structural Frill!

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Moschino Structural Frill DressFrills are making a comeback but with a modern edge! Moschino is one designer who is embracing this trend with this fantastic nude dress that is sure to be a key piece for spring.

I’m not too keen on frills but I love this new structural swishy frill that is making its mark this season! The ‘new’ frill has a modern edge; it is still feminine but not so girly girly! I love this dress; I think it is chic and sophisticated and would look fab with a pair of neutral baby doll shoes with ankle ties! Perfect for a slender figure that wants some womanly curves.

Buy your Moschino Silk tiered flounce dress today from net a porter for £1,660.00!

Amazing In Anna

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

anna-sui-dot-print-dress.jpgAnna Sui’s range of creativity in her designs is amazing isn’t it? Everytime a new collection is presented you can be sure you’ll find some sort of cute, fun and flirty item to fall in love with.

I certainly do and if it’s not just her cute floral’s it’s her cute frills that do it for me too. I now adore this Anna Sui Dot Print Dress. The black and white dot print chiffon dress has a contrasting ruffle neck and hem for the girly girl in you and a flattering scoop neck and removable floral brooch. Accessorize this dress with some cute strap stilettos and a little black clutch.

Get your Anna Sui Dot print dress at Net A Porter costing just £255, a well worth it price.

Fantastical Prints!

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Prada Spring/summer 08If you haven’t already noticed prints are huge for summer 08! Florals seem to be the main inspiration for prints this season, however, I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel they’re all starting to look a bit repetitive and boring already!

One designer who has got it spot on for prints this season and has managed to stay clear of the repetitive florals is Prada with their fantasy prints! These prints are just stunning; they have a floral inspired feel but are so unique and much more interesting than most of the prints I have seen so far this season!

The prints are used constantly throughout the collection, even on the accessories! So if you’re a print fan be sure to check out Pradas new fantastical prints!
