Stella's New Lingerie Collection!

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Stella LingerieStella Mc Cartney is expanding her empire; now venturing into lingerie she is finally able to inject her beautiful delicate signature style into a new line of underwear that is sure to be a sell out!

I must admit I am a big fan of Stella and am excited to see this new lingerie line. Net-a-porter has recently interviewed the hugely successful Brit designer to reveal the inspirations behind her latest lingerie collection; it is an interesting read and gives you a few previews of the latest collection! Expect to see luxury silk georgette bras in beautiful floral prints that reflect her much praised spring/summer 08 Ready to wear collection.

Being aware of the environment is also one of Stella’s main attributes so it doesn’t come as a surprise to hear that her new lingerie line will feature organic cotton sets in a range of pastel shades; eco friendly and fashionable, what more do you want!

Massive Platforms

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

carvela-goldie-platforms.jpgIt wasn’t long ago that shoes dominated fashion print (think Marc Jacobs and his interesting heel shapes), only since summer fashions have taken over have we seen less of the platform. But they are still available and are now dominating many shoe retail websites.

Kurt Geiger is a company with many to choose from. These Carvela, Goldie platform stilettos pictured here are just one of the many available. Coming in black, these platforms give many optional colours to wear them with, but I think these shoes would look fab with some skinny or flared jeans and a glamorous top.

Get your pair from Kurt Geiger online costing £100 with free standard delivery in the UK.

The Plunging All In One

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

milly-acapulco-printed-maillot.jpgI personally am a bikini girl! I love the look of the all in one swimsuit but the thought of my entire body clinched by something so skin tight repels me, so I’ve never been daring enough to buy one.

However, I am slowly coming around to the idea because of all the amazing shapes, patterns and sizes a swimsuit can come in. I love Milly Acapulco printed maillot. The navy and white splash print swimsuit is backless with a plunging neck line which is super-sexy, imagine it with a tan. With bead embellishment and a self tie halter neck the maillot can be comfortable and cute.

Get yours at Net-A-Porter costing £150, coordinating items are also available.

Christian Louboutin Declic Black Pumps

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

christian-louboutin-black-leather-pumps.jpgI first caught glimpse of these gorgeous pointed black, Louboutin courts just over a year ago in Selfridges and haven’t seen them since, until now.

I think this pair maybe a little higher than the ones I originally wished for but the higher the better, hard hitting designer fashion does not always mean pleasure without pain. These Declic Leather almond toe Pumps are fabulous! The smart and sophisticated look makes them the shoes that will match pretty much anything and with the high stiletto heel, they will lengthen legs.

Get your pair of Christian Louboutin Declic leather pumps at Net-A-Porter, costing £350.

Gladiator Sandals

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

giuseppe-zanotti-gladiator-sandals.jpgOne of the best things to come out of summer fashion over the years is the gladiator sandals. Last year I got myself a fabulous pair of Kors by Michael Kors brown gladiator sandals and this year I have my eye on these stylish little numbers.

The bronze leather gladiator sandals are these Giuseppe Zanotti sandals pictured here. Completely stylish and totally cool these sandals look just like the ones Kate Moss herself would wear. With buckle fastening straps across the arch of the foot and zip fastening on the back of the heel this sandals provide comfort and stability.

Get your pair of Giuseppe Zanotti Leather gladiator sandals from Net-A-Porter costing £405.

Beautifully Floral

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

topshop-floral-dress.jpgThis summer floral prints have stepped firmly back in to fashion and don’t seem to be going anywhere – a good thing, if you ask me.

This Topshop Floral Dress is one of my favourite dresses I have seen so far. The white base and multi coloured floral print mini dress is cute and perfect for a day in the sun or an evening of fun. Team the floral frill sleeve dress up with some gladiator flats and matching coloured bag or some lightly coloured high heels and your good to go.

At £40 this is one dress to snap up and buy before it goes. It’s available at Topshop online now and comes in sizes S, M and L.

The New ‘It’ Bag

Monday, February 25th, 2008

jaeger-brittannia-bag.jpgWow, an actual designer ‘it’ bag at a more affordable price than the usual £1,000 plus. The bag I’m talking about is the new Jaeger Britannia bag.

The much talked about bag has seen much publicity in the fashion glossies and is available to buy online now. With a patent wet look finish the oversized bag is uber-cool, sleek and stylish. If the patent ‘wet look’ finish available in either black (pictured here) or red is not your preferred choice then get it in white leather also available online costing the same amount or the smaller version in black leather costing £199.

Get your Britannia ‘it’ bag at Jaeger online, costing a reasonable £250.

Prom Perfect

Monday, February 25th, 2008

warehouse-embellished-prom-dress.jpgProm season is coming up and in true support many of the high street stores are prepared with some gorgeous dresses suited for all. I know not everyone has a prom but any sort of glamorous occasion will be the perfect place to show off a prom dress.

Warehouse has a lovely selection. I love this Lace Embellished light brown prom dress. At £90 it’s pricey, but what you would expect when buying a dress that will make you dazzle and last forever. The strapless and full skirt style dress is flattering and stylish and will look perfect with some elegant little sandals and matching purse. Co-ordinating colours are a must!

Get yours at Warehouse online.

The Maxi!

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Michael Kors Maxi DressI am pleased to see that the maxi dress is going to be a huge look for summer this year; I love the maxi shape as it always looks so feminine and elegant and is so easy to wear during those hot summer months!

This summer expect to see the maxi dress in an array of vibrant prints and colours ranging from pretty florals to sailor stripes! Michael Kors is one designer that has really grabbed my attention with this vibrant fluorescent maxi dress, who’d of thought orange and pink, could look so delicious together?! This dress is a simple but beautifully feminine Grecian style that provides a perfect base for the striking colour palette. But be warned this dress must be worn with a golden tan to really enhance the beautiful candy colours and to make you glow like a Grecian goddess!

The price is not for the faint hearted; £1,194.00 is what it will cost you to add this beautiful Michael Kors Striped Grecian gown to your wardrobe and Net-a-porter is the place to buy it!

Bolder the Better!

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Antik Batik KaftanIt seems like the ‘Bolder the Better’ is the way forward for spring/summer 08. Designers are embellishing their collection with bold colours, prints and accessories, making each outfit a statement! With this philosophy it’s sure to be a bright summer!

Antik Batik is one label you can rely on for vivid colours and beautiful prints, created in 1992 by a well travelled French designer Gabriella Cortese, this line is inspired by a multitude of cultures that offer an array of exciting prints and colours.

Her latest collection fits perfectly into the passion for prints that we are seeing from many top labels such as Dolce & Gabanna, Balenciaga and Missoni. This stunning chiffon kaftan is one of my favourite pieces from Antik Batik, the colours and beading really makes this piece stand out from the rest. For £220 this Antik Batik Jet printed kaftan can be purchased from Net-a-porter.
