Prints are coming into a world of their own for the summer season and its time to start thinking about what prints will suit you!
Miss Selfridge has already cottoned onto the new trend and has provided us with this fantastic ‘Day dream’ collection that is full of wonderful and unique prints. Vibrant Eastern inspired prints and design techniques have provided the main base of ideas behind this stunning range of Kimono style tops.
The prints in this collection are very delicate and beautiful; the eastern inspired blossom prints make a nice contrast to the typical floral prints that are often overused. The prices of these Eastern inspired lovelies are; bottom left; £50, top middle; £35 and bottom right; £45.

I am definitely loving the Vera Wang Lavender range; one because it is of course more affordable and two because it is absolutely fantastic! Yes Vera Wang has produced a line called the Lavender collection that has finally made her beautiful designs accessible to those who aren’t filthy rich (in other words; me!)
To give you a little taster here is a delicious mustard silk dress from the collection that is just oozing style! What can I say? The colour, the shape, the fabric; everything is perfect! This is an extremely versatile dress, it can be worn with thick black tights in the winter or with bronzed up legs in the summer; an all year round dress! £305 is just a small price to pay for such a stunning piece. Available online from Stylefinder.

I’m officially in love with this gorgeous Matthew Williamson maxi dress! Throughout the summer I was a huge fan of the ‘maxi dress’; it was something new and elegant that could be worn from day to night. Well it seems this style of dress isn’t going anywhere! Tipped to be a key piece for next season its time to invest in your very own maxi if you haven’t yet done so!
I have already got a few maxi dresses but there is always room for more, especially since I saw this beautiful Williamson masterpiece. This dress would be perfect for a warm summers evening worn with leather gladiator sandals to give an interesting hard edge to such a feminine flowing gown. Chunky wooden bangles and gladiator sandals would give this dress a more casual feel, however if it is for a special occasion opt for more delicate accessories.
This Matthew Williamson maxi dress is in fact hand painted so bear that in mind when I tell you the price tag! It can be purchased from Net-a-porter for £1,400.00. Yikes!

Wow! Check out these for a pair of earrings! These are the latest Ping Pong earrings from the new collection by Erickson Beamon.
These earrings are definitely giving me a taste for summer with a mixture of vibrant blue, yellow and orange crystals; these little lovelies will really set off that cute little summer dress you’ve been dying to wear all winter! Try to match your clothing with one of the colours in the earrings, if not black or white is always a safe bet!
Blondes and brunettes will both look stunning in these earrings however brunettes will provide a perfect base to set off the vibrant crystals; they will be far more vibrant against a darker hair colour and therefore would be perfect for an evening. Buy yourself a pair of these Erickson Beamon Ping Pong earrings for £230 from Net-a-porter.

Mandy Moore is the latest celeb to hit the fashion scene with the premium lifestyle brand Mblem. The brand is still very new and vulnerable; it was only founded last year by Mandy Moore and Kristi Kaylor but is gaining increasing credibility amongst its fashion peers. It is a fashion forward contemporary brand that has experienced incredible growth in 2007.
Mandy Moore; Head designer of Mblem insists that she is extremely hands on with the design process and isn’t just lending her name to the brand, below she describes her inspiration and what she aims to achieve;
‘As a designer I continue to draw on a mix of my favourite vintage styles fused with my own personal fashion sense to exude a new degree of flirty, fun, sexiness.’
The collection is very classic and simple. There aren’t a lot of innovative design ideas regarding the shape and cut of the garments, however I don’t think there is meant to be. It is a lifestyle brand that is more concerned with the comfort and the wear ability of the garments rather than the ability to make a statement. The colour palettes within the collections are beautiful; I love this blue dress from the spring 2008 collection; simple design but the blue really sets it off! Well done Mandy!

I am a massive fan of accessorizing. Take a plain and simple dress, top, or a shawl, pin a brooch on it and watch your fashion savvy reputation grow.
Net A Porter have a few fabulous brooches to offer from designers like Chloe and Marni. I adore these Marni, set of two black circular leather brooches with rhinestone embellishment. With a mixture of jet and smoky quartz coloured stones they are the perfect accessory to adorn, decorate and embellish your self with. Pin these to a black wool dress or evening top and your good to go.
This set of Marni brooches are down from £144 to £100.80 and are available at Net A Porter by following this link.

Summer cannot seem further away right now but here’s a little something from Jimmy Choo to get our spirits up and excited for the warm season.
Its Jimmy Choo’s new cruise collection, it’s bright, it’s colourful and it’s exciting! There are vivid colours to choose from including fuchsia and bright yellow and there are many different styles be it sandals or flats. I love the sandals featured in the ad campaign pictured here. They’re called the Lumiere Patent Sandal, they come in black and pink and they cost £355. Sexy, sassy and amazing with a tan, the fuchsia sandals are gorgeous and have definitely brightened my day.

The heaven sent designers to the stars that make up the label Marchesa are on a consistent role of producing stunningly gorgeous dresses. It seems since Marchesa’s rise to fame the brand itself has been soaking up more attention and publicity than the celebrity who is actually wearing it.
To add to the collection of worship worthy dresses, this Marchesa Strapless cocktail dresswith crystal embellished embroidered empire waist band. This runway dress comes with built in bust support, pleating below the waist and falls just above the knee. Keeping in season with the colour this dress would certainly wow a crowd at a New Years party and make the wearer feel fabulous.
Get yours for a pricey £2,314 at Net-a-porter.

With Christmas just around the corner, the party season is well and truly upon us so its time to get dolled up and head into town. I have been busy browsing the web and found some of the most stunning dresses available, as its Christmas I have been drawn to sparkly creations with gold and silver tones and I just had to throw in a bit of purple and blue as they were the hottest colours of the year. Here are some of the cutest designer cocktail frocks on the market:

The first (left) is a Miu Miu Oyster Dress, I love the champagne colour and bubble hem style and it costs £695. The next is an Alexander Wang V-neck Dress and this is my personal favourite in this whole collection. The beautiful coffee wool jersey dress is a perfect pick for a cocktail party and has a really flattering waistline that will give you that hourglass appearance. The dress will set you back £565 but in my opinion is totally worth every penny. Lastly we have the Graham & Spencer Metallic Jersey Dress with a stunning empire line and plunging neckline to give those breasts a boost! At £210 its a bargain!

In this picture we have the Michael Kors Sequin Embellished Dress (left), it is a stunning design with gold sequin under-layer and feather trim, the neckline is flattering and the feathers give it a touch of elegance. The dress can be purchased for a whopping £2,125! Next up we have the Catherine Malandrino Crinkle Chiffon Dress, this may not be everyones cup of tea but I think its fabulous, the colour and detail are both really unique and you can buy this beauty for a reasonable £385. The last dress in this picture is the RM Naiad dress which we have written about before in our Monochrome By RM post. Its such a classic design but at £1,545 it doesn’t come cheap.
