It seems that underwear and outerwear are swapping roles this season, as underwear becomes the new outerwear!

Yes the new trend is to show off your undies, in a stylish way of course! Corsets have made a huge comeback this season, so much so that they can be worn over just about anything; from jumpers to cocktail dresses; anything goes!

To prove to you I’m telling the absolute truth here are two examples of corsets worn over garments from two well-respected designer labels; Aquascutum and Richard Nicoll.

The first image is from Richard Nicoll’s A/W 07 collection, he has decided to use the corset detailing over a white tailored shirt, whereas Aquascutum uses the corset slightly differently teaming it with a grey roll neck jumper! This look is definately for the more adventurous, I wonder if it will catch on?I’m not so sure!
