Accessorize Floppy HatWant to give your look a star style makeover? Well I’ve got the answer! This floppy style felt hat is exactly what you need to give the likes of Paris Hilton and Sienna Miller a run for their money!

This style of hat is dominating the high street at the moment and I just can’t get enough of them! From vibrant orange to deep purple and midnight blue, there is sure to be one to match your every outfit!

I think they’re just so glam and really will make you feel every inch the superstar! This beautiful orange floppy hat is from Accessorize, I chose this hat because I love the gem detailing across the front of the crown, remember embellishment is huge this winter! So if your sick of the typical woolly hats and want a more glam look, you should definitely purchase a floppy hat, this one costs £25.

Topshop Knitwear

Ruched Sleeve KnitI can already feel winter and I believe autumn has only just arrived, so I’m all about layering this season. It’s either too hot for the wool smart coat and to cold for just a tee so layering my knits is the only way forward (at least a jumper or cardi fits in the bag for those hot flushes).

Cap Sleeve CardiThis wool, moss coloured, ruched sleeve, v neck jumper at £28 is perfect for smart or casual wear and can be layered by this gorgeous chocolate coloured, knitted cap sleeve cardi costing £35. Pair these with a pair of skinny or flared jeans and heels.

To get your winter woollies go to, remember students get 10% off with a valid student card (lucky things).

Waffel Weave Cream Coat

Friday, October 19th, 2007

Boohoo Cream CoatUnfortunately in England the weather just can’t decide what to do, but lets face it, winter is well and truly on its way and we will certainly be needing a nice warm winter coat. This cream waffel weave coat is gorgeous. Plum and cream are going to be hot colours this season so make sure you stock up on the essentials.

This coat has a military style look to it, with its high neck and low waist and the button detail at the front. It has a hidden zip fastening at the front and two pockets. It comes in cream, black and red and is available in sizes 10-14. It is from, so you know you’re not going to be breaking your budget, costing just £40.

Rib Hugging Skirt

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Rib Hugging SkirtRecently we have seen the high waistline trend spring into stores, but if you think you have mastered it, think again. Now, if it doesn’t brush your boobs then its for the bin. The idea is to go for colour but stick to one bright shade with either black or white. This sophisticated a-line skirt is from American Apparel priced at £18 and many high street and designer shops are selling them too.

If you aim for a waistline that hits the top of your ribcage, then you’re going in the right direction but just remember to leave some room for you to breathe! This one has a wide waistband designed to give maximum comfort. If you’re larger than a size 10, then just remember to keep the top half simple.

Lace Addiction

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Lace DressI can’t seem to get enough of the goth-lace look at the moment, it’s such a great style as long as you get the ratio correct! One piece of lace is enough so don’t go overboard with top-to-toe black lace, just try tights, sleeves, a top or a dress like this one. This dress is 100% silk and is cream with black lace detail.

It is vital that you add some colour to your black lace number so try bright shoes, red lippy or maybe contrasting with white lace. This appliqué dress is from Miss Selfridge and costs £95. Even smaller framed girls find it hard to pull off the tight lace look so stick to volume skirts, prom frocks and shift dresses.

Knee High Socks

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Over the Knee SocksWe are currently in a season that has gone hosiery crazy and over-the-knee socks are the latest leg attire to be worn by style icons that we all look up to. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Moss have both been spotted in these beauties and they certainly know how to pull off the trend. Over-the-knee socks are all over the fashion pages at the moment and you can pick them up just about anywhere on the high street.

This pair are from Cette and made in Belgium, they are great quality and fit lovely. They are ribbed socks that come in black or cardinal red, both of which are two key colours of the season. Available from for £10.99.

The Poncho Or The Cape?

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Tomas Maier PonchoThis season has seen a recurring trend called the poncho and the cape. Perfect for winter and for those of you that got on board with the trend the last time. I’m not sure which is better, but they can both look sleek and stylish.

Topshop Funnel Neck CapePersonally I love this Tomas Maier, mist coloured, cashmere poncho. At the moment it is discounted by 40% from £575 to £345 so if you fancy a splurge this poncho is perfect, with or without a belt. I think it should be given some glamour with some jeans and heels. Or this funnel neck cape in chocolate colour from Topshop is just as chic but is a lot cheaper at just £75.

The Tomas Maier Cahmere poncho is available at and the funnel neck cape is available at

Norma Kamali Ski Pants

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Norma Kamali Ski PantsThe ski holiday season is approaching and I am on the look out for some flattering ski wear. Heading to the Alps, the Andes or the Rockies? Find an outfit that will ooze glamour because deciding where to ski is just a small matter as oppose to deciding what to wear on those white slopes that make your skin glow.

I’ve found some great ski pants by Norma Kamali For Everlast. These charcoal cotton blend pants with a roll down waistband are comfortable, slimming and look rather warm. But the best part, they are down from £120 to £48 … Bargain! Get your Norma Kamali for Everlast Cotton ski pants before they sell out or go back to full price from Net-a-porter.

Gold Collection by Donna Karan

Donna Karan Gold CollectionDonna Karan’s new Gold collection is what every girl will be lusting over! With the Christmas season on its way and all those great parties to go to, of course you’re going to need a show stopping dress and Donna Karans Gold collection is the first place to look!

I’ve always loved gold as it is so striking particularly against black; Donna Karan seems to share this passion for gold, which is why she has produced a whole collection that celebrates the sumptuous colour!

This collection is just jaw dropping, I love how she uses matte gold metal pieces to highlight areas of flowing black gowns, it is so simple but incredibly effective! There is also a gold metallic gown, which is stunning; the fabric takes on many different shades as it shimmers in the light, perfect for a special night out during the festive season!
