Sorry to say it but winter is well and truly taking over, certainly in Britain anyway. It’s that time of year when shops are thinking about their Christmas decorations, we consider turning on the heating (but refuse because it should still be warm) and I’m browsing around to find my absolute perfect winter coat. I am happy to say I have found it, but there’s one problem… it costs £577 :(.

The coat is designed by Diane von Furstenberg and is a cream, collarless Candalaria Jersy Coat. The 3 quarter length sleeves, oversized buttons, pleated shoulder panels and pin tuck waist give an overall chic appearance and screams style. I love the way they have modelled the coat with one button fastened and the dress peeking through, the colour of the shoes and bag go perfectly with the outfit as well. This Diane von Furstenberg Candalaria jersy coat is available at Net-a-porter and I am very jealous of anyone who buys it.

If like me you’re a high street girl then check out this similar style from Funnel Neck Coat With Cashmere and is available for £89. I actually prefer the button detail on this coat and the love the swing shape; great for skimming those hips! You will look elegant and chic in either of these styles so the choice is yours.

I have also found a bag at M&S in a similar style to the one from Net-a porter for £69. It is an Autograph Leather Twist & Tassel Tote Bag and is made from grey leather. The bag is spacious enough for all your necessities and would look fabulous alongside the Funnel Neck Coat.
