Leather Strand Hip Belt

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Leather Strand Hip BeltTopshop have got a great range of belts on their website at the moment – including this Leather Strand Hip Belt with metal detailing. Ashley Olsen was spotted wearing a similar (obviously much more expensive) version recently and teamed it with skinny jeans, a pair of aviators and flat pumps – simple styling is sometimes the best!

It’s available for £30 but have a look around at the huge range they’ve got, such as this Hook Buckle Elastic Waist Belt for £25 and this Winged Elastic Hip Belt for just £18 – I want them all!

A belt like this can really make an outfit work together – well done again Topshop!

Pyramid Stud Detail

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Pyramid Stud NecklacePyramid stud detail is so in right now! Whether they’re used to decorate bags, dresses, bangles or shoes, it doesn’t matter, either way they look fab! I have seen so many great clothes with the stud detail on but all designer and all very expensive!

However Topshop have of course recognised this new trend and have provided us with a cheaper option! This great necklace will set off any outfit and make you look up to date and extremely trendy! It is only £8 so who cares if the trend doesn’t last long, I always think its best to buy an accessory to follow trends rather than an expensive garment as you never know how long they’re going to last! A similar necklace also comes in red and as red does seem to be the ‘in’ colour this winter it might be worth getting the red one or maybe you could splash out on both! Go on, treat yourself!

Perfect Winter Coat

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Trapeze CoatFinally the wait is over for All Saints brand new autumn/winter collection and it’s looking good girls! I have come to terms with the fact that summer is never actually going to reach the UK this year and therefore I’m in full winter shopping mode. Firstly I’m searching for my perfect winter coat and All Saints have a strong lead at the moment with their ‘Muse Trapeze Coat.’

I really love this coat as it is rare to find a coat that looks as good from the front as it does the back. All Saints have really paid attention to detail with this coat and have included a tailored back vent, which is really stunning. The voluminous bell shaped sleeves are really great as are the over sized epaulettes. Everything about this coat is gorgeous, there are so many little details that make it worth the £250 it costs.

Beanies Are Back!

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

Beanies Are Back!Remember these beanie style hats, well now they are back and all the celebs are wearing them. They could just be the answer to our prayers. Bad hair day? Go and buy yourself one of these – personally I’ve chosen this one from asos.com. With this sequin covered floppy hat, the heavy sequin detail will take all eyes away from what you’re hiding underneath and turn the focus to your sexy hat.

This one has been delicately crocheted and is lightweight with a slouchy fit. This style is a favourite of Mischa Barton, who’s frequently photographed for her fashion trends. Available in cream, in one size for only £10 – you really can’t go wrong!

Maloles

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

MalolesIn this week’s edition of Look magazine the ‘lust label’ has been given to this pair of silver quilted pumps. Look editors are predicting that they’re going to be sold like hot cakes. Personally I can’t see why – they remind me of something Michael Jackson would have worn back in his day!

For those of you brave enough to wear these, they are available for £145 from Matches Fashion. They are a ballet style flat shoe with a black patent leather toe and trim down the heel. They have a pop-stud fastening and a beige leather insole. I must admit they do sound very comfortable to me.

Named to be shoe of the season, but we’ll see…

Lara Bohinc

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

Solar Eclipse BeltI absolutely love Lara Bohinc’s new autumn/winter jewellery collection! It’s so unique and striking; no wonder she has a huge celebrity following from the likes of Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Lucy Liu and the one and only Madonna!

Born in Slovenia Lara Bohinc at 35 years of age has already collaborated with a number of well respected names in the fashion industry such as Gucci, Julien Mc Donald and Lanvin by accessorising their runway collections. She has continued her success by her unique hard-edged yet utterly feminine designs. I particularly love this gold belt, worn over a simple black dress I think it would make you look like a million dollars! There are also bracelets and necklaces to match and you can choose from a number of different metals from rose gold to platinum! Decisions…… decisions……… Net a Porter have a small range of accessories from Lara Bohinc on their site, maybe worth a peek!

Protective Shoes!

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

Peep Toe BootOk shoes are officially going crazy this autumn/winter! Forget the clothes all you need is a pair of statement shoes to really make your outfit. I know I have already talked about the new “ankle boot” and I could just get my head around Manolo Blahnik’s “Hairy shoes” but Balenciaga have taken it to the next level with their new shoe collection for autumn/winter 07.

Their new ultra modern shoe collection will certainly turn heads, check out this pair of peep toe boots taken from the Balenciaga website, I did hear that peep toe boots were an up and coming trend for the winter but I never expected anything like this!

My first thoughts when I saw them is that they look like something you would wear when skate boarding or doing some kind of extreme sport as the detail includes plastic guards and padding! Crazy hey?! If you check out the website you will see more from this bizarre collection, look out for the multicoloured plastic sandal!

Shiny Skinny Trousers

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

Shiny Skinny Trousers at TOPSHOPThis season the high street has gone mad for “kinky clobber” as the papers put it – following Girls Aloud’s footsteps in their latest video where they are all wearing black PVC catsuits. Please! As if we are going to go out dressed in one of those! If you’re a lass that loves the skin tight styles and black leather you’re in luck because it’s everywhere. These shiny trousers are available from Topshop for £40.

Here’s a pair of high shine trousers with an enamel black button. If you feel like you haven’t got the figure to pull of skinny trousers like these then you could go for a tight black pencil skirt and fish net tights. Top them off with studded accessories and black boots or shoes. Fancy trying your luck in such an outfit? Then you can browse the Topshop website, Warehouse or H&M where the sexy styles are being sold.

Emilio Luca x

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

Emilio Luca xIn my opinion a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes, and after finding these I definitely want another pair. They are so pretty and girly. The pink and red detail is almost strawberry like. I’ve found peep toe shoes to be a favourite of mine at the moment, not only do they look great but they are so comfortable as well.

They have a flower across the front with sparkly diamantés and a wooden effect heel. A real girly girl pair of shoes. Available in sizes 3-8, so no need to worry about them not having your size if you’ve got slightly bigger or smaller feet. In the Emilio Luca range called Bali, from Brantano at £28.

River Island Blouson Cami

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

Blouson CamiI found this top today from River Island. Its royal blue colour caught my eye, not a colour usually found in my wardrobe but I was really drawn to it. The silver sequin plaited straps make it a going out top for me. I’m always looking through my wardrobe thinking “wore that last week, don’t like this, don’t like that”, and having this I wouldn’t have to worry. It crosses over at the back and has sequin detail between the shoulders.

On the River Island website it gives you the option to create the look and a suggestion of what to wear with it. Black skinny jeans and a pair of sparkly silver sandals would make a great outfit! You’ll be going out looking a million dollars. Available in sizes 8-14 and costs £19.99.
