Sienna's New Clothing Line

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Betty DressEver since I heard rumours of Sienna Miller and her sister Savannah producing a new clothing line I have been sooo excited! I have always been envious of Sienna’s great sense of style; she always manages to look so effortlessly fantastic! If you too love Sienna’s style you’ll be pleased to know the wait is finally over, we can now buy clothes from the style guru herself and her mega talented sister who has already tons of experience in the fashion industry and has worked with the likes of Alexander McQueen!

The clothing line is called twenty8twelve; the inspiration for the name is apparently Sienna’s birthday, the collection is very simple yet chic in other words very Sienna! One of my favourite pieces from the collection is this grey silk dress, called the Betty dress, I think it is an extremely flattering style and grey is apparently the in-colour this season! It costs £230 and can be seen on My Wardrobe.

Accessorize with Patent

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

Pantent ShoesPatent is everywhere at the moment! It is the hottest new trend to hit the high street and I think it looks great as long as you know how to wear it!

There is just one rule when wearing patent that is ‘Less is best.’ Patent always looks its best in small doses therefore instead of buying a whole garment that is patent why not try accessorising with it, for example wearing a patent belt with a patent bag to match is a great look. There are also lots of patent platform shoes around at the moment that might take your fancy and if you’re wondering where to get all these great accessories from one stop in French connection should do the trick! French connection have really grasped this new trend and have provided us with a fantastic choice of patent accessories to help us achieve this look; these platform court shoes are to die for, they are a little high and will probably hurt like hell but will give you killer pins for £90! Look online or instore for more patent lovelies!

Super Size your Clutch!

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

Super Size ClutchesI’ve always loved clutch bags for an evening as they look so much more sophisticated and sleek in contrast to a clumpy shoulder bag; however I do get frustrated with the tiny space they provide to fit in all your girly necessities for a night out on the town!

Well it is almost as if Jimmy Choo has read my mind with the genius invention of the super sized clutch collection, this collection is fantastic, the huge rectangular shaped clutch is called ‘Carolina’ and it comes in a great selection of materials and prints from luxurious soft eel to leopard fur. These clutches are much more versatile than the previous super small clutches we are used to as they can be worn from day to night, which is great if you’re going out straight from work. The leopard fur ‘Carolina’ costs £895! I’m just hoping that the super sized clutch trend filters down to the high street!

Style Icon Patricia Field Launches ASOS Collection

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Those of you who love fashion will know of Patricia Field from either Sex and the City or The Devil Wears Prada. Patricia is a famous fashion stylist and designer from New York, who made her name as the costume designer on the set of Sex and the City. With high-class clientèle and her own boutique in New York, you can expect some truly unique designs in her own collection.

Patricia Field Collection

Patricia’s collection is very eclectic and rock ‘n roll, based on her own style which is very edgy and punk like… perfect for parties and gigs. For Patricia, inspiration came from growing up in Queens, New York and living through some of the most fashion forward times, like the 60’s and 70’s. See it for yourself exclusively at www.asos.com which launched earlier this month.

Biker Jacket in the Style of Gwen Stefani

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

Debenhams Biker JacketI used to have 2 or 3 different leather jackets when I was younger and looking back, what was I thinking? Bright red, yellow and lilac… Nice. This black biker jacket is a different story though; similar styles have recently been modelled by the likes of Gwen Stefani, who carry’s it off so well. It has a zip fastening at the front and zip and popper pockets. It is 100% PVC so you can just wipe it clean.

Personally I don’t think I’d be able to carry this off but Gwen describes her biker jacket as being her ultimate outfit lifesaver. The jacket pictured is available at Debenhams in the Red Herring range for just £35. I don’t think Gwen picked hers up for this cheap but it certainly looks exactly the same, so nobody needs to know any different.

George Stripy Tunic

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

George Stripy TunicUnfortunately girls it looks as though summer has been and gone this year. With all the rain and cold weather we have been having lately, I think it’s time to get all those winter warmers out from the back of the wardrobe. So here’s a new one for you to get in. This gorgeous grey and pink tunic is a must have from George’s knitwear range.

It has a low v-neck at the front leading down to button fastenings, it also has roll up sleeves with buttons and a hood attached to hold in those fly away hairs in the wind. The style also comes in a blue and white design, available in sizes 8-24 for just £12. What a bargain! So next time you’re out doing your shopping pop in to ASDA and pick one up.

Cacharel Clutch Bag

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

Cacharel ClutchNo outfit is complete without a clutch like this. It is the perfect size for the evening and the black patent material is a must have for accessories this season. It’s so sleek and shiny that you can even see your own face in it! Costing £123 it’s a bit out of my price range but there are so many shapes, sizes and colours out there that you wouldn’t have to look far to find one to suit you.

Because it is so sleek you don’t have to worry about it matching your outfit, as this little beauty will go with just about anything. For those of you that are lucky enough to be able to afford one, it is available from www.my-wardrobe.com.

Jonah High Waist Skirt at All Saints

Friday, August 24th, 2007

Jonah High Waist SkirtThis Jonah high waisted skirt is one of many fabulous items from the All Saints collection. As seen modelled by style icon’s such as Posh, Rachel Stevens, Sienna Miller and Reese Witherspoon. The old figure fixing pencil skirt has had an update and these high waist bands are on the rise. This look is all about creating hour glass curves, but you must be careful, the ultimate height of the waistband should just skim the bottom of your ribs, any higher and it will ruin the look.

It has sailor flap button detailing at the front and is pleated around the thigh area, giving a tulip shape. It comes in black and costs £75. Don’t be scared off by the price because Tu at Sainsbury’s are selling a replica for just £15. H&M, River Island and Topshop are also stocking these at the moment. This skirt can be worn during the day or evening, so you can experiment with a cardigan or t-shirt for daytime or a sexy corset style top for a night out on the town.

Lipsy Cotton Cutwork Tunic

Friday, August 24th, 2007

This cotton cutwork detail is becoming more and more popular all of a sudden. I haven’t seen anything like this before, but in the last week I have seen quite a few pictures of different celebs wearing tops and dresses with this sort of detail. This particular black and red tunic has a boat neck finish with the cutwork at the sleeves and around the bottom.

Lipsy Cotton Cutwork Tunic

The red cutwork detail looks like lace but the tunic is made from 100% cotton. It is also available in white and costs £35 from Lipsy, which is loved by many celebs! Lipsy is a great place to shop for clothes all year round; they have all the latest in fashion, including bags, shoes and all different accessories.

Feather Clutch

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Flute Feather ClutchApparently feathers are in trend for this winter and if I’m honest I’m not 100% sure I can pull of this new style without looking like a bit of a mistake, well that was until I spotted this beautiful ‘Flute Feather’ clutch bag by Michael Teperson.

This bag is perfect for following this feathery trend; it isn’t a huge statement piece but I think in some cases less is definitely more! It is very subtle and elegant with only a spray of feather detailing, perfect for those not brave enough to embrace the full feathery look! I think this bag would be perfect worn with a little black dress, it would definitely make your outfit a little more interesting and a little more expensive; with a price tag of £445 it doesn’t come cheap! Find this bag on Style Finder.
