Summer Cutaway Swimsuits
Monday, July 9th, 2007
This year the cutaway swimsuit has been a big hit, it’s just a shame the weather in England hasn’t allowed us to show them off! Here are three of my favourite high street designs, all great colours for the warmer weather and certain to get you noticed. The cut out detail helps give a really flattering shape and slims down your tum in an instant.
The first swimsuit is from La Senza, it costs £25 and is great if you like white swimwear to show off your tan. The next is from TOPSHOP and costs £26. I absolutely adore this colour – it’s so summery and bright and will compliment olive skin tones. The last swimsuit is £29.50 from Marks & Spencer, the garment is made from brown and green floral material and the halter neck will help hold in bustier ladies!

This season the playsuit has really come into its own, we saw them begin to emerge early in the spring and now they are everywhere. This pale turquoise version from Warehouse is one of the nicest I’ve seen, the colour is fresh and cool, perfect for a summers day - finish off with some oversize shades, flip flops and wicker beach bag and you’re sorted!
I spotted these sexy platforms in this weeks issue of Look magazine modelled by Amy Winehouse and I think they’re fantastic. They were created by hip designer Terry de Havilland, well known for his funkier designs. Each shoe is individually hand painted in a comic strip style in the colours yellow, red, green, black and white and each one has a peep toe design.
I have just heard that Irregular Choice, well known for their unusual and wacky shoe styles are in the process of launching a clothing line. I hear you asking, “Will the clothes be as unique as the shoes?” and the answer is yes, they certainly will be. To the left is an example of a style they have chosen, I personally really like this piece but am not sure I’d be caught outside in some of their other designs.
