As I’m sure most of you are aware, this week is Royal Ascot Week – a chance to dress to impress, sip champagne and maybe even do a spot of gambling! I am attending the races on Friday but still haven’t found an outfit so I am shopping while I blog! I found some gorgeous occasion wear on the Next website, dresses, hats, hair accessories, jewellery, shoes, bags – they have everything and it’s so reasonably priced as well.
My personal favourites are the two stunning dresses above. I would love to wear the cream dress with gold satin band (£70) but me and white don’t really go especially if it’s raining. The pink mesh bustier dress (£55) is more my style, it’s just as stunning and gives the bust area a bit of a lift. The colour is also more appropriate if it rains. Check out the Next website for more Royal Ascot ideas.

After writing about Lily Allen’s gorgeous wedges I found the perfect beach bag to accompany them. It is £24.99 from River Island and is so scrummy I am thinking of ordering one right now.
The bag is made from black wicker material with black patent decoration and brass studs and buckles. It has plenty of room to fit all your necessities such as beach towel, sunglasses, sun tan lotion and your bottle of water and it is absolutely ideal for strutting around on the beach with your bright bikini and Nine West wedges!
Check out the River Island website for all their beach bags, also take a peek in their new arrivals section – they have some really stylish stuff for the summer.

I saw Lily Allen wearing a very similar pair of these shoes in this week’s Look magazine. She has them in black, white, red and grey – apparently she’s quite a fan! Lily’s are all from Chanel and cost £310 each but here is a cheaper version – £60 from Nine West in the UK and only $49.99 on the US Nine West website (bargain!).
There is the option of changing the black material and changing to a metallic silver but personally I prefer the black, I would love a pair in red as well; very hot this summer. The peep toe is quite large so make sure your toes are perfectly pampered before you step out these! Try bright red nail polish with the black wedges if you’re feeling daring.

I have just been over to The Well-Heeled Society and found these fabulous Quai D’Orsay Platforms. They are quite possibly the most glamorous pair of shoes I have ever seen! They are made from genuine metallic bronze Leather and Shantung around the toe. The tall platform style is totally hot this season and just imagine these sexy sandals with a little black dress and matching clutch bag.
The shoes are available at Forzieri for $259 – not the cheapest pair of shoes you’ll have in your wardrobe but definitely the most spectacular!

This little gadget was brought to my attention this morning and I thought what a fantastic idea. I can’t obviously remember the amount of times my bra strap has fallen down my arm but it happens a lot and it’s very annoying. The Strap Trap does just what it says – traps your strap so it stays in the position it is meant to and doesn’t poke out to say hello.
The Strap Trap is sewn into the shoulder seam of your t-shirt, dress or shirt and your bra strap slips through attaching the strap to the inside of your garment. In 2005 the inventor won a gold medal at the British Inventors Show and the product is already used across the UK and US by bridal and couture businesses.
The clips are available in black or white and prices vary depending on the quantity and your location. Check out the official Strap Trap Website for more information.

Ladies day at Ascot is quickly approaching (Friday 22nd June) and if you still haven’t got your perfect dress sorted then here’s one for you to consider. It is a monochrome embroidered dress by Autograph at Marks & Spencer’s, it’s quite simple but looks really stunning on the model especially with her olive colour skin.
Just imagine it with a cute clutch bag, sexy up-do or even a black hat; you will look so modern and stylish. The dress costs £65 but is definitely one you could wear again to all sorts of occasions.
Check out the M&S Website for all their possible Ascot dresses.

Check out these awsome beach bags from Life & Style magazine, I love the Lily Pulitzer style in the bottom left corner – definitely one for a strut on the beach! When you are buying your beach bag have a quick think about the colour and styles of your favourite bikinis, after all you wouldn’t want a bag that doesn’t match your outfit.

I always buy my shades from River Island, for some reason they seem to be the perfect shape for my head! This year I chose the beauties below and I absolutely love them. They are light to carry, are a nice tinted shade and have cute little diamantes along the very top. They were only £12.99 as well which I thought was a bargain.

I saw the ones below first and I did consider buying them but the size of the shades seemed to take over my face so I went for the smaller ones. I do like the diamante design on the sides, which was what drew me to them in the first place. They too are £12.99.

I also bought this lovely animal print case to make sure I don’t break them – I do that a lot! It has a rich brown interior and is the right shape for most River Island sunglasses. The case costs £4.99.

See the River Island Website for their whole range of sunglasses.

This dress would be fab for a wedding, posh evening out or for an end of year prom. I like this style, it’s much more summery than standard prom dresses that reach your ankles and have layers and layers of material. It is much simpler but you could really dress it up to look the part. It is made from white material with a black embroidered floral design all over and has a black ribbon around the waist.
Royal Ascot week is just around the corner (starts 19th of June) so if you haven’t sorted out a dress yet this could be one to think about.
The clutch bag and shoes really compliment the dress and you could go one step further with a tiara and diamante necklace. The dress costs £50 and the bag £9, both are available on the Next website.

As all of us fashion obsessed bloggers know, maxi dresses are a big hit this year and celebs have been modelling some great designs for us all to follow. I have just found this postcard printed maxi dress at ASOS.com, it has a halter neck top, low back line and is made out of multi-coloured postcard printed fabric. Can you imagine how summery you will feel wearing this dress and it’s great to get you into the holiday spirit.
The dress costs £45 which isn’t bad considering how much material you are given and is available in most sizes. Why not team it with a simple pair of pink flip flops or these pink wedges if you have a shorter frame. The flip flops below cost £12 and the wedges £30, both also available at ASOS.
If you are not quite confident enough to wear a maxi dress (I don’t think I am just yet!) then check out their other dresses, they have some really great styles for all occasions.
