Must Have Floor Sweeping Maxi Dresses

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

Warehouse Maxi Dresses
Catwalk shows predicted that mini skirts you daren’t bend over in would be the hottest style of the summer but they overlooked the popularity of the maxi dress. Some of the hottest style icons such as Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Kate Moss have all been spotted in the latest trendy floor-sweeping maxi dresses. Paisley patterns and summery colours such as yellow and green are the must have designs that every girl should have in her wardrobe.

The great thing about these dresses is that can hide a lot of lumps and bumps; to wear a mini skirt you have to be confident about your legs but you certainly don’t have to in a maxi dress. If your hips are your problem area try a high waist line so the dress begins to float before your hips are visible – an instant slimmer!

The dresses above are all from Warehouse, my personal favourite is the palm print maxi (2nd from the right), it has a great summery design but will set you back £55. Visit the Warehouse Website for all their latest summery dresses.

Lipsy 60's Shift Dresses

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Lipsy Shift DressI recently saw images of Cameron Diaz and Lindsay Lohan wearing the same gorgeous black and white Chanel shift dress worth £1,130. I then saw a picture of Big Brother’s Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace in a very similar dress that only cost £35 from Lipsy.

I have just been over to the Lipsy website but could not find the particular dress however they do have a great range of 60’s shift dresses that would go great with a pair of black leggings or just a pair of high heels. The dress to the left is my personal favourite and most resembles both the Chanel and other Lipsy dress. It again costs just £35 and is made from satin material.

Fantastic Sale at ASOS.com

Monday, April 16th, 2007

ASOS SaleI have just been over to ASOS.com to look for a dress for a party next weekend and they have got the most amazing sale on; I think it ends today so get in quick while you still can. Some items are up to 75% off and many ½ half price and it’s not like a normal high street sale; they actually have some really great items in the clearance section.

Leopard Print ShoesThese leopard print shoes are now just £15 reduced from £30, they are so cute and have a little black bow at the back to finish off the style; how nice would they look with a little black dress and matching leopard print clutch bag! I think the shoe section has the most variety but there are some great dresses and accessories as well.

Woven White Tassel BagThis white tassel bag in the style of Jessica Alba is now just £10 reduced from £25; what a bargain! I almost bought a similar one just a few weeks ago from River Island but am so glad I didn’t now; this one is so much nicer and 1/3rd of the price.

Visit ASOS.com for more great sale items.

Souk Bag from Truly Radley Deeply

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

Red Souk BagI have yet again fallen in love with a handbag and this time it’s a summery slouchy grab bag from Truly Radley Deeply. It is made from gorgeous soft grainy red leather and is decorated with colourful embroidered circles that look a little like pie charts! On either side of the bag is a tassel made up of leather patches, metal charms and brown wooden circles.

Like with most Radley products the signature Scottish Terrier is present on the front of the bag. This red version is my personal favourite, I can just imagine wearing it with a little white summery dress, large shades and some red peep-toe shoes. The Souk bag is available in red, green or black, more information at Radley.co.uk.

Stars go Silver Crazy

Tuesday, April 10th, 2007

Silver Crazy Fashion
Jessica Biel, Lindsay Lohan and Kelly Rowland all show off their stylish silver accessories that add a little bit of extra sparkle to a casual outfit. Silver is very in this season and there are lots of great items around on the high streets. Be careful not to overdo it though, you don’t want to end up looking like a tin-man; accessories are probably the way to go if you are unsure.

Grab a metallic silver bag or pair of shoes or simply accessorise with a headband or jewellery. If you feel really confident then why not bag yourself a silver jacket or dress and mix with other black items to tone your outfit down a little. There are loads of ways to wear silver this season, mix and match to see what works for you.

Georgina Goodman Range at Evans

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

Georgina Goodman ShoesThe new Georgina Goodman Range hit the shelves at Evans today hoping to draw in a crowd of shoppers and to create an interesting new look in the shops. Georgina’s Autumn/Winter 2006 collection was a big hit and I’m sure this new Spring/Summer 2007 range will be just as popular.

The collection contains a whole new style of shoes, bags and belts, I have fallen for these green and black spotty peep-toe shoes, I think they’re adorable and you can find a cute bag and belt to go with them. Georgina’s signature stripe conical heal is prominent throughout the collection, in fact stripes and spots are the dominant design.

See the Evans Website for the whole Georgina Goodman collection and be wowed by her unique style.
