Brighten Your Spring Wardrobe With Coloured Denim

Monday, April 30th, 2007

Coloured Denim
This season coloured denim is really becoming popular among celebs, even style icon Victoria Beckham stepped out for her weekly shopping spree in a pair of electric-blue Tsubi jeans. They can really brighten up your outfit and look fabulous with other plain garments such as a black top and black pair of shoes.

I’m not quite sure if I’d be confident enough to walk around in the blue, red or purple jeans but I think I could handle the lemonade pair. I’d do the same as Posh and go for skinny jeans otherwise you may end up looking a bit like someone who stepped out of the 80’s.

Get The Look: Casual Holiday Girl

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Miss Selfridge Summer LookWhen I’m on holiday I like to be comfortable so I tend to wear looser fitted clothes and opt for tops that will cover my shoulders because they always get burnt! I have put together this ensemble from the Miss Selfridge Website that I think would be a great casual look for the daytime on a summer holiday.

First things first we need a nice summery colour so the pink top is the main focus of the outfit; it has a lovely square neckline and appears fitted although it is actually quite loose, it covers the hips in case those cheeky denim shorts are causing a bit of a muffin top. The top costs just £14 and is also available in turquoise or white. The shorts are a must have this season, you can wear them with anything, flats or heals day or night and they cost just £25.

To finish off our casual summer look we have some large shades in case the heat makes us sweaty and we need to cover the main area of our faces (£14), a dainty pendant necklace (£6 reduced from £12), some cute flat jewelled sandals (£25) and a white and pink starry beach bag to carry your necessities (5).

Next's Gorgeous Summer Collections

Next Summer Collection
Next has some absolutely beautiful clothes ready for the summer, I can just imagine strolling across the beach in the sunshine in the wide legged jeans, bikini top, gold straw hat and dainty flat sandals. This outfit screams style and is definitely going to get you some holiday male attention!

All three of these outfits put together by Next are fabulous, I really love the Khaki Paisley Print Green Dress, especially with the white top underneath – it brightens up the whole ensemble. All items are very reasonable prices as well, the wide legged jeans £40, the white bikini top £17 and the Khaki dress £37. Check out the Next Website for all the prices and more summer styles.

Cream Leather Buckle Bag and Purse

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

River Island White BagI would love to buy a gorgeous Chloe, Fendi or Marc Jacobs leather handbag and show it off wherever I went, but unfortunately I’m not made of money so I have to settle for high street designs! My favourite place to buy leather bags is definitely River Island, although they’re not the cheapest bags on the high street they are good quality, last for ages and often look just as nice as designer makes.

River Island White PurseI just spotted this fabulous cream leather buckled bag on their website and fell in love with it. What’s even better is that I then found this cute little purse to match (also River Island.) The bag costs £49.99 and the purse £12.99; now that price sounds much nicer than the £1000 plus you would pay for a leather designer bag.

Both accessories are made from leather therefore will be good investments, anyway you’ll get your moneys worth – the bag will go with anything day or night.

Burgundy Prom Gown

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Burgundy Prom DressProm time is just around the corner and I know all you girlies will be thinking ahead and looking for your perfect dress. Don’t worry – we are here to help and promise to show you any great finds we come across on the internet. I have just been browsing around and saw this stunning burgundy gown at I love the colour and would probably go for something in a similar style if it were my prom.

The dress is actually made up of a skirt and top and costs £180; I think this price is quite good considering the amount of material the dress contains and the quality of the style. If you’re not keen on this colour it is also available in black or white.

M&S Snake Trim Halterneck Bikini

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Snake Trim Halterneck BikiniIf you are heading off somewhere sunny anytime soon then you’ll need to prepare for some serious bikini shopping. Every girl knows that finding the right bikini is very important – you have to be completely comfortable wearing it, ensure the colour goes with you skin tone and of course make sure your bikini line is covered!

I have been over to Marks & Spencer a few times in the last week and this little ensemble keeps catching my eye. It is brown with a snakeskin trim and will look very classy as you strut along the beach. Unfortunately the top isn’t as well suited to us girlies who have larger assets, I felt a little unsupported without an under-wire!

Animal Print Flip FlopsThe bikini costs £30 and they have some great kaftans to wear over the top. I also spotted these cute little animal print sandals that would go really well with the outfit. Check out the M&S Website for the full swimwear range, there really is something for everyone.

Mini Bags – Minaudieres

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

Gold and Silver MinaudieresWord on the street is that the mini clutch bag, also known as the minaudiere is going to be one of the hottest style pieces of the summer. The minaudiere can be described as an extremely small evening clutch bag with a hard exterior. Okay so not the most practical bag the fashion industry has produced but so classy and stylish.

You will however have to seriously limit the contents of your handbag when you take out your minaudiere; maybe just a lipstick and your mobile phone.

I found some really cute little gold and silver minuadieres from Rodeo Drive Resale, they measure approximately 5 inches in length and majority retail at $39.99; a few are a little more expensive.
