The weather is finally warming up after what seems like a life time of winter, which means we can start getting funkier with some summer dresses and sexy sandals. I love this look from River Island’s new collection, you can mix and match the accessories with the dress or the jeans and top. My favourite item in this selection is the bag; it’s one of those items you can wear with anything, but at £69.99 it might be worth shopping around for a similar style elsewhere.
The dress and sandals together will cost you just under £65 which isn’t too bad considering you’ll probably get a lot of wear out of it in the summer, especially if you go on a beach holiday. The bangle finishes off the look nicely and only costs £5.99. See the River Island Website for more ‘In Looks’ this season.

This season it seems celebrities have all gone mad for Moe Click Bags and the public are catching on to this trendy new style too. Instead of lugging around a shoulder bag that could potentially overshadow your outfit, pop this little accessory onto your wrist and dance the night away! The bags are available in leather or silk depending on the design you prefer.
This silk leopard print bag is my personal favourite; it would look so stunning with a little black dress or black jacket. The bag is also big enough to carry all your night time accessories such as your mobile, purse, keys and lip gloss. The spring 2007 collection ranges from $132 to $187 – this leopard print design is one of the most expensive but I think it is definitely the classiest.
The bags are available at Couture Candy and Boutique to You.

Exaggerated platforms were a big hit on the catwalks this year and it seems that the wackier the style the better. These transparent PVC platforms by Chanel are the kind of thing I am talking about but I think this shoe could actually catch on. When on the foot they look quite elegant creating a nice line from the ankle to the top of the toes. The bar joining the heel to the platform give the shoe a nice edge and the simple black and cream colour means you could wear them with most outfits.
Other designer such as Givenchy and Christian Lacroix took this style to a slightly more extreme level which are less likely to catch on to the high street. These Chanel platforms will set you back £385 but I’ll keep my eye out for a similar high street version that we might be able to afford. Photograph from Vogue.com.

Many celebrities seem to be piling on the gems and sparkles this season to give their outfits a bit extra bling. Mischa, Brittany, Paris Hilton and Keira Knightly have all been spotted with a bit more sparkle than usual. Shiny accessories such as bracelets, headbands and bags can all be used subtly to add that little extra to a daytime outfit. If you’re really brave like Mischa and Brittany shown above then go for a dress with coloured gems close to the neckline or waist.
Gems and coloured crystals on shoes are also becoming very in this season, I love these green ones above, they’d look so hot with a little black dress and matching green bag.

The hugely popular fifth avenue store has just opened a UK version in saville row, London. If you haven’t been along to visit yet you must do, just to get a look at the “store models” (who also double as till assistants and dressing room attendants). These gorgeous guys and girls parade around dressed in sexy preppy Abercrombie gear and can advise you on the best “spring break” gear.
Apparently the guys get free gym membership to keep their Abercrombie pecs in shape! The London store, the first store in Europe generated sales of $280,000 in the first 6 hours after opening doors. It is expected that stores will open in France and Sweden soon. To check out the English clothing range visit the UK website, where all prices are in pounds, yay!

We all know spring weather can be extremely unpredictable and so the key piece for this season is most definitely the trench coat. If you haven’t got one already now is the time to buy; I know I am going to. There are so many different styles out there, whether you are looking for earthy neutrals or bright vibrant colours or patterns, there is something to suit everyone.
I love this red trench coat £40 from Mango, it’s sure to brighten up any outfit and make a definite fashion statement. If you prefer something shorter for the warmer weather why not try this cropped checked trench at the absolute bargain price of £17 from M&S.

If you’re like me and fancy a bit of a wardrobe update now spring is in the air, then it’s time to hit the shops and bag yourself some wide legged trousers. That’s right, wide legged trousers and jeans are back, which is great news for us girls as they flatter any figure.
The sophisticated hot new spring trend was all over the catwalk at London fashion week and has been spotted on the likes of Victoria Beckham and Ciara. Many styles also feature a high waistline, like in this example by Oasis, which I feel might take some getting used to. Complete the look by wearing with a fitted shirt or feminine blouse and some chunky platforms.

Drew Barrymore has teamed up with Britain’s hottest young designer Giles Deacon to model his new range at New Look. The collection entitled ‘Gold’ will hit the shops on Monday March 13th and will hopefully bring a whole new classy edge to New Look’s stores.
The Gold collection includes dresses, skinny jeans, jewellery, accessories and shoes, all of which are designed by Deacon. The puffball dress to the left is my personal favourite and you can even get a pair of peep-toe shoes to match. The dress will cost you £40 and the shoes £30.
New Look has ensured all items are priced reasonably in line with their other clothes ranges. Check out Gold at New Look’s website for more information and to see the full range.
